Poem#79 God’s People

Poem#79 God’s People

Exodus 6

The sooner we realize we’re not under our own influence

That theirs more then our selfish thoughts inside our head

The devil doesn’t care what we’re going through as he Eats

Don’t let anger fester past the setting sun to dwell in the night

Even though Ephesians was a long way of being written in time

The devil’s old tricks of seeking those he may devour remain

The God that’s the same that never changes remains Good

Even while His People festered in pride, God’s Faithful to Them

When God first said They was His People to be Their God

Even though they never set foot in the land of Abraham, Isaac

Through the Generation of Joseph the stories told passed down

They would have known the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob

Only God knew the level of His people’s heart turned stone cold

Under the influence of idols, to that of demons, that of themselves

God knows what it will take for us to break free to run to Him

While God was working on Moses’s insecurities, well as His people’s

While God was working on Pharaoh to let His People go to Rescue them

Doing what it took for us to trip over our feet to see He’s Our God
