Poem#82 Light & Sacrifice
Genesis 1, John 1, John 3, John 8, Revelation 21 & 22
In the Beginning the Spirit hovered & a Word was Spoken
The Light Switch was turned on & the Father Our Creator
Looking over blueprints got to work making All of Creation
On day 6 God said to the Light let us make Man in our own Image
So They did taking Dust of the Earth formed Mankind giving Breath
History would soon follow with Eve, Sin & a Spiritual death out of Eden
The Light that was switched on also sacrificed to cover our shame
We just didn’t understand the redemption that was needed of blood
The Grounds that knew no death until the first lamb was needed
Jesus through the Angel of the Lord came shining His Light in Man
Seed in the depth of darkness making Blood Covenant with Abraham
Through the depths of His Love defended until His Word fulfilled
The Word that was with God & is God the Light that became Flesh
Bringing us the Truth & Grace that we were missing being too blind
Ears too deaf to hear the Light being Switched on in Diciples
The Kingdom being closer than a Brother telling us to change
The way we Thought of Sin was changing like the Temple in Us
Nobody understood what was to be destroyed in 3 days
Jesus the Light that was Born to be the World’s Passover Lamb
Fulfilling all the Prophecies in Isaiah all of Scripture to the Cross
When Jesus said it was Finished & turned the Light Off
The Temple was torn in two the devil was thinking victory until
On the third morning when the Light Switched back on for Good
The Spirit of our Souls redeemed & given a Birth of new Creation
We just won’t understand the True Light Jesus is until He’s back
When returning as the King of Kings, the sun & the Moon be gone
When only the Light, only the Glory of God remains On for us to See
In the Beginning the Word let their be Light was always only Jesus
No Sun, No Moon was made, Jesus is the Light the World has known
No Sun can totally Eclipse the Son of God who is Jesus Christ
