Poem#9 Set Sail

Genesis to Revelation



Awaken as New Creation through the power of the Cross
The death of Christ is Our Spirit’s Resurrection into the Life
We’ve been redeemed been given a Captain in the Holy Spirit



The Holy Spirit will navigate through Truth that is God’s Word
Helping us to set Sail through the pages we once flipped through
Now the fog that covered what we were missing is lifting



Every time we Journey through the Open Pages of the Bible
The tides of change ripple through as the Word knows us well
As the Word Lives & its the Word that keeps us breathing



Both on the Ocean & inside Our Heart we’ve got nothing to fear
The Captain won’t let Our Heart be troubled when we focus on Him
Especially when we go deeper into the waves of His Word



Don’t let Our Spirit be stuck to the dock that’s our Soul’s flesh
Let the Holy Spirit Set Sail every Morning to catch the sunrise
Revealing something new as the Light lifts the morning fog



Listening to the Captain that’s Jesus show us where He is
As the Holy Spirit navigates all things Truth that we missed
Showing us how Jesus lived outside the Red Letters



Every time we Set Sail through the Living Word of God
The Helper shows how the Living Water sends ripples
Started in Genesis that’s still relevant through Revelation

From Genesis to Revelation. If we truly believe the very first verse in Genesis 1:1, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth then we will believe the rest of God's Word.

Hey Bob, I was writing to the music to one of my favorite songs The Captain by Guardian and went with the remainder I’ve been getting from the Holy Spirit after hearing conversations at my church in the Men’s Bible Study group.
About memorizing scripture and studying the Bible, while thinking about my own Journey through listening through the U version app the only devotion I use is ESV study Bible in a year listening in NKJV before bed, also during the day when my ipad isn’t working on my phone, I’ve been doing it not just to study but to draw closer to spend time with the Lord. I’ve also come to realize I’ve been knowing where the scriptures are a lot better than I use too.
So wrote the poem as a reminder to go through the Bible God’s Word as an Adventure whether a new Believer or one transitioned to meat to give control to the Holy Spirit the Helper of all Truth and listen to what Jesus has to say to Be Still and Listen!
