But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have,
we must wait patiently and confidently.”
Romans 8:25

Practice the pause.
When in doubt, pause.
When angry, pause.
When tired, pause.
When stressed, pause.
And when you pause…pray.

I like the KJV better here:

Rom 8:24-5
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

These scriptures are speaking of Hope. Hope in what? God's unseen hand in our lives. God saving power. Not just ultimate salvation, eternal life in God's kingdom, but also God's deliverance, help, protection, guidance etc in this life day by day.

We must learn to wait and have patience though because God doesn't tell us how or when. And we have need of patience (Heb 10:36).

Taking time out of our busy lives to reflect on God, our life, and the world around us is a very good thing. Paul tells us:

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I know that it is extremely easy to get caught up in day-to-day life, but we do need to pause and consider God in all aspects of our life.

Covid-19 has given many of us perhaps more time to pause and reflect. Perhaps this is one of the many reasons God has allowed this virus at this time.
