Praise

I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with
thanksgiving.
-- Psalm 69:30

THOUGHT:
When was the last time you sang praises to God outside a church
or devotional service? Why not open up the Psalms and find several
verses that reflect your own praise and thanks to God and give them
a tune -- your own tune! God doesn't care if your spiritual gift is
music or not; he's just listening for your heart to be full of joy
as you share your praise and thanksgiving with him.

Reminds me of a Scripture based song we used to sing in the fellowships I frequented in my youth:

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart,
I will enter His courts with praise
I will say "This is the day the Lord has made"
I will rejoice for He has made me glad

That's about all I can remember of it at the moment. I often break into song while at work or bustling about the house, particularly favoring the old hymns. At other times, particularly when I am inclined to complain, I have times of quiet reflection expressing gratitude for what He has done for me both on a grand, cosmic scale, and in terms of the day to day nitty gritty.

Rumely... I remember that song too

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart,
I will enter His courts with praise
I will say "This is the day the Lord has made"
I will rejoice for He has made me glad

He has made me glad
He has made me glad
I will rejoice for
He has made me glad.

Thanks for the reminder. God bless.
