Promises of God

Hello bob, you are are so right with that scripture! Romans 4:16-21 talks about Gods promise to Abraham and Sarah that Abe would be a father of all nations but they were old however they did not doubt Gods promises in unbelief. He was fully persuaded that God was going to deliver, and he did making him a father of all nations.
 
I would like to offer another version of this same verse:

II Peter 1:4 (NASB) "Through these He has granted to us His
precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may
become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption that is in the world on account of lust."

I must partake of His promises so that I may partake of His nature.
In other words:
Partake of Promises = Nature of God

I put on the new nature and die to the old nature when I partake of
His promises. That implies that I get all the good things that He has
promised; not just in Heaven but here first! I don't focus on not getting
the bad things I deserve but, instead, the good things He gives me now!

When doubt gives way to faith, the victory's won! We now have God on our side.
