Repent the kingdom of God is near.

Repent the kingdom of God is near.

23 Thus saith Jehovah, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither
let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his
riches;
24 but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he hath understanding,
and knoweth me, that I am Jehovah who exerciseth lovingkindness, justice,
and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah.

CHAPTER 13
1 Thus saith Jehovah unto me, Go, and buy thee a linen girdle, and put it
upon thy loins, and put it not in water.
2 So I bought a girdle according to
the word of Jehovah, and put it upon my loins.
3 And the word of Jehovah
came unto me the second time, saying,
4 Take the girdle that thou hast
bought, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it
there in a cleft of the rock.
5 So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as
Jehovah commanded me.
6 And it came to pass after many days, that
Jehovah said unto me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the girdle from
thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.
7 Then I went to the
Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid
it; and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
8 Then
the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
9 Thus saith Jehovah, After
this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
10 This evil people, that refuse to hear my words, that walk in the
stubbornness of their heart, and are gone after other gods to serve them,
and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is profitable for
nothing.
11 For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused
to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah,
saith Jehovah; that they may be unto me for a people, and for a name, and
for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
12 Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word: Thus saith Jehovah,
the God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say
unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with
wine?
13 Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will
fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s
throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

CHAPTER 3
1 But know this, that in the last days grievous times shall come. 2 For men
shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 without natural affection,
implacable, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,
4 traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of
God;
5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power therefore.
From these also turn away.

CHAPTER 4
1 But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away
from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own
conscience as with a hot iron;
3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to
abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving
by them that believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is
good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 for
it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.

14 These shall war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them,
for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they also shall overcome
that are with him, called and chosen and faithful.
15 And he saith unto me,
The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and
multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 And the ten horns which thou
sawest, and the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her
desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her utterly with
fire.
17 For God did put in their hearts to do his mind, and to come to one
mind, and to give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God
should be accomplished.
18 And the woman whom thou sawest is the great
city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

23 Thus saith Jehovah, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither
let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his
riches; 24 but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he hath understanding, and knoweth me, that I am Jehovah who exerciseth lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah.

WOW...we only have any understanding or knowledge of the Holy One because we have been made us His children by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and this is not anything that we can do in and of ourselves... isn't God awesome?!

:pray:Yes, Lord, give us repentant hearts that we may see and accept ourselves "as we are at this moment"...not necessily the way You want or need us to be for Your service; but none the less, You accept us "just as we are" and we ask that You help us "see You as You are" that we may face upon our faces in honest and open repentance for the cleansing of our sins and renewal of our minds by the washing and regeneration of Your Holy Word through Your Holy Spirit.:groupray:

'Jesus answered them, "Healthy people don't need a doctor-sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent." Luke 5:31-32

'In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground, begging to be healed. “Lord,” he said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.”
Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. Then Jesus instructed him not to tell anyone what had happened. He said, “Go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy. This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.” Luke 5:12-14

'Seeing their faith, Jesus siad to the man, "Young man, your sins are forgiven." Luke 5:20

'When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m too much of a sinner to be around you.” For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed. Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.'
Luke 5:8-11

CHAPTER 4
1 I charge thee in the sight of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the
living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:
2 preach the
word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all
longsuffering and teaching.
3 For the time will come when they will not
endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves
teachers after their own lusts;
4 and will turn away their ears from the
truth, and turn aside unto fables.
5 But be thou sober in all things, suffer
hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry.
6 For I am
already being offered, and the time of my departure is come.
7 I have fought
the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith:
8 henceforth
there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also
to all them that have loved his appearing.

"But I am a worm and not a man, A reproach of men and despised by the people." Psalm 22:6

"But as for you, O Jacob My servant, do not fear, Nor be dismayed, O Israel! For, see, I am going to save you from afar, And your descendants from the land of their captivity; And Jacob will return and be undisturbed and secure, with no one making him tremble." Jeremiah 46:27

"Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel; I will help you," declares the LORD, "and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel." Isaiah 41:14

'And He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:

"Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: 'God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my entire income.'

"But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, the sinner!'

"I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."
Luke 18:9-14
