righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known,

Romans 3:21-22
But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe

“righteousness” does not mean we are automatically made righteous in God’s eyes, it means we have the ability to achieve God’s very righteousness directly from the guidance his spirit provides under the new covenant, as the old covenant was just a list of rules, but the “new” righteousness is God’s direct influence on our hearts revealing his will in our lives, ie: the real meaning of “grace”

Actually, through the Blood of Jesus once we repent for our sins, we are restored to rightstanding or righteousness with the Father.

The old covenant also showed God's righteousness.

In my thinking, the righteousness of God is neither an attribute of God nor is the changed character of the believer.

IMO, Romans 1:17 defines the righteousness of God as Christ Himself who met every demand of the law for us in our place and is ..."Made unto us righteousness" (1 Corth. 1:30).

The righteousness of God is demonstrated and show to us through the cross of Christ which in its self speaks of the shed blood of Christ for the remission of mans sin.

That righteousness is WITHOUT THE LAW.

Righteousness in that context is a legal standing, the opposite of condemnation. That verse states that it is granted to us the moment we put our trust in Jesus. We cannot earn any part of our salvation; it must be granted in full. We are only righteous because Jesus is.

Righteousness ....Right standing with God.....We are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
This was done by the shedding of the Blood of JESUS. Through the new covenant.

In John we read if we are faithful to confess our sins and tress pass's He is true and just to forgive us our sins and tress pass's AND cleanse us of all our unrighteousness.
So We then except our forgivness and cleansing of all our unrighteousness.
So what is left ? Righteousness and we need to act like it and talk like it and live like it.

This is something to behold....to treasure....to Honor and respect...
Have a wonderful week

We have to look at this from two different perspectives. Jesus was made to be our righteousness, and he lives in us. We are righteous because he has become our new life and he alone is righteous. Not only is Christ in us who is righteous, but we also are in him who is sitting on the right hand of God. Everything in Christ is righteous for there is no darkness in him. We are righteous because of two things. Christ in us who is our righteousness, and we are in him made righteous.

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

But, this is not the shouting part. yet. As it is written

Col 2:9 For in him (Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

In Jesus Christ in which we are living, lives and dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily!!! We are complete in him!!!
This family can not get any closer than that!! No matter how hard you squeeze your wife you can not get her inside you like we have the Godhead inside us in their fullness!!
