Rules For Choosing Story Books
When my children were young we used to choose books that met certain standards.
I would love to hear if you have any rules or standards when it comes to choosing books.
We of course wanted good literature. We decided to avoid all which craft. We avoided stories where the main character was naughty and were never held accountable for their actions. We also did not get books on Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny, though we did discuss both of these characters with our children. We avoided crudity.
