Ruth 1:22

Ruth 1:22 King James Version (KJV)
22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.

Ruth 1:22 The Voice (VOICE)

22 This was how Naomi came into Bethlehem with her daughter-in-law, Ruth, from Moab. It was at the beginning of the barley harvest when they returned to the land.

Naomi finally went back home after years of being away things would have much some what different but some things would have been familiar. Everything would have been unknown for Ruth nothing for her would be things she knew as Christians those of the world can not know the way we see things thru Jesus because they don’t have Him. So they arrive at the time of harvest she left at the time of famine.

I think that Naomi would likely feel like we do now when we return "home" after a long absence. Lots of memories, lots of things that feel "familiar" and lots of things that change. In particular, she would probably feel a little lonely because people would have moved on without her, though they would still welcome her home. Maybe it's a little like how we feel when we aren't connected into a church family for a while and then we return to it.
