Ruth 3:11-12 King James Version (KJV)
11 And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.

12 And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.

Ruth 3:11-12 Common English Bible (CEB)

11 And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I’ll do for you everything you are asking. Indeed, my people—all who are at the gate—know that you are a woman of worth.12 Now, although it’s certainly true that I’m a redeemer, there’s a redeemer who is a closer relative than I am.

11 Boaz as willing to help her but as a righteous man he has to do things the righteous way. Ruth had gained a good reputation and Boaz knew that God would favor their marriage when we guys look for a wife that is something we should consider deeply.

12 Boaz was not the next of kin so it was not for him to marry her without asking the next of kin wasn’t willing to marry her otherwise they would have already but Boaz still has to ask permission.
