Sabbath 5/2/15 Alfred Station SDB Church, Missionary David Baek sermon “God’s Better Plan” Genesis 45:1-7
Our plans and God’s plans are different sometimes. We need to believe that God’s plans are better! Sometimes there are things that happen to us that we don’t understand. We need to trust God! In our scripture text, God never left Joseph alone when he was sold into slavery by his brothers or later thrown into prison for a crime he did not do. Even when bad things happen to us, God is still with us.
In verse 7, God uses Joseph to save the lives of his people and a whole nation. At first Joseph had lost many things like family, friends and his home. But….God restored them all! Sometimes things happen to us, but we need to trust God because He is using us, training us for something big. Trust God. He will use us for His Glory and He will restore everything.
God is teaching us through our situations. We must find out what it is that God wants us to learn in and from our troubling situations. We must learn to depend on God always! Trust God! God has a better plan. God restores all things His way not our way. We must Listen to God, Trust God and Know that God has a Better plan for us!
