Self Entitlement

Do y'all think ambition plays a role with the feeling and actions of entitlement?
What are our personal goals? We know what they should be as soldiers of Christ.
So how ambitious are we? Is it for us, or for Christ? I think we all have entitlement issues.
When we try envisioning our behaviors through Christ's eyes, we get a different picture.

Father in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, might those of us reading pray about this.
Help us become the soldiers and prayer warriors you need us to be. Might we shine brightly
to be a compass for the lost still in darkness, bringing souls into your light.
May we all be more conscious of our behaviors, Amen.
Personally I do not think so. A sense of entitlement is a personality trait based on the belief that someone deserves special treatment or recognition for something they didn't earn. In other words, people with this mindset believe that the world owes them without ever giving anything in return.

Ambition to me is very different. Ambition a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.
It is IMHO almost the opposite of entitlement.

Tommorrow we are having a public holiday, it always used to be Queen's Birthday (even though it wasn't her real birthday) but now they've changed it to Kings Birthday (even tho it's not his birthday either).

So we are all entitled to the day off. What happens is the shops are all open trying to make sales and say they are celebrating the birthday with discounts so you can buy more..but I don't think anyone is actually buying any gifts to send to the King.

Maybe they do that in the UK, but it would be very expensive to deliver a present to King Charles from NZ.

I remember reading that Prince Charles had a wall of gifts in his garden at Highgrove that people had given him over the years.

I also know that when he was married to Diana, many of his subjects gave them wedding gifts, but there were so many and they couldn't be given away, that the servants often destroyed them by burning them. I was quite sad to read that.

What do you give a royal who has everything already anyway. Now he has a title and many lands and a crown and a mistress.

Solomon didn't ask for these things. He just asked for wisdom, and then God gave him everything else. If you ask God for wisdom, He's going to give it to you liberally.

He doesn't want us to be stupid! Most of us are born not knowing anything, as babies we are pretty ignorant, and we are also born with no clothes on lol

Elizabeth knew Charles wasn't fit to be king which is why she held on so long. Maybe his reign will be short so that William, who is fit to be king, can take his rightful place.

Is William fit to be King?

I don't think any one is. How old was Solomon when he was crowned? I think in those days they got crowned young, like maybe 10 years old. And everyone comitted fratricide to stop their brothers from becoming King. You can read all about it in the books of Kings.

When Jesus was born King Herod was so jealous he ordered everyone in Bethlehem under 2 to be killed.

It seems Solomon was 12 years old when he became King.

According to some sources (Chabad.org) but others online are vague and believe he was 20. We know he reigned 40 years.
We do know that Jesus was 12 years old when he entered the temple and began teaching.

I was thinking he was more on the younger side because he asked for wisdom but someone who is 20 probably would not ask God this! 20 year olds think they know it all lol
