Shockwave plugin issues...

Howdy all!

My shockwave plugin seems to hate Firefox, Google Chrome, and IE browsers. It keeps giving me an error every so often that the 'shockwave plugin has stopped working, stop script or continue' with Firefox and IE. With Google Chrome it doesn't even give me an error it just automatically closes my browser window. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what was the remedy?

I've had it periodically, but more so before I had a tech come and give my computer an overhaul! I still get the same freeze-ups and pop-ups with Firefox, but it is far less now. I doubt there is anything we can do to completely eradicate it. I am not all that computer savvy (as you know!), but this is MHO!
