Should any Christian Hold to Theistic Evolution then?

Fast?????

It takes me 10 minutes to walk from the living room to the bathroom because I have to stop twice and rest.

Then the worst part of that story is that when I get to the rest room, I dont remember if I was going in or just coming out!
If you think that's bad, I can't even recall why I wrote, "Maybe, not so fast."

My heart says that we should not eat enimals; yet we do ... I battle to understand why God would have changed the initial fruits & herbs, to "everything"?
God's Word says...

Romans 14:17-22 ESV
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. [18] Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. [19] So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. [20] Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats. [21] It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble. [22] The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves.

Hello Yesua888;

After the flood the fruit and veggies were no more. God gave us specific animals to eat and sustain the hunger of Noah, his family and future families. As the ground became fertile people began to farm fruits and vegetables to eat.

These are taught in Genesis 9:3, God's dietary in Leviticus 11, Deuteronomy 14 and there are no restrictions of eating fruits and vegetables in the New Testament.

I enjoy chicken, cow, and fish. But I personally don't partake in exotic or certain forest animals. We as followers of Christ have freewill to eat what goes into our mouths. If someone enjoys eating only fruits and vegetables, or a meal of meat, regardless of both, we are to be reminded of who we give thanks to and what we eat sustains us in serving the Lord.

God bless you, Linda.

We must do what we are persuaded to do, based upon preferences and convictions, as regardless if we eat meat or just veggies not important to God as long as does not violate ones conscience
The 'important part' I was pointing out was being thankful for the food God has graciously given us.

Good morning, YeshuaFan and crossnote;

Back in the mid 80s before I understood being thankful for our meal or violating another's eating conscious, we lived next to a nice Indian couple. They had a bumper sticker on their vehicle that read, "Friends don't let friends eat meat"

Why that bumper sticker would offend is beyond me. Yet to spite them I cooked steaks one evening in our kitchen and opened the window and the slide patio door so when the nice couple came home they would smell it.

Years later Romans 14:1-23 convicted me, not just food that we choose to eat but also the weak or causing another to stumble.

The lesson learned was not be entertained by a bumper sticker.
lol!

God bless you all and have a blessed weekend.

Bob

Reminds me of the Chic Fila commercial, where the cows have signs to eat more chickens, less cows

Thanks again Bob, for your great answer ... "of course" after the flood there would be little plant food left on the Earth to eat : ) : ) : )
Your answer and Major's makes sense to me now , where I can relax, because I too enjoy chicken, beef and fish : ) : ) : )
It has just been troubling me as to why Father God would change His mind ... and thanks for your patience xxx
