Some Poems

Some Poems

These are just a few poems I wrote that I would like to share with you. They all hold a special meaning to me, they talk of some of my struggles with lust issues and things that I try not to keep hidden. I do believe God wants us to talk about our struggles and praises so we can raise each other up and help our brothers and sisters in need. I know many people go through the same issues I have. Not only I have struggles, not just with lust but with all sin, the things we think about people all the time, the things we think or doing.. All these things are not healthy to keep stuck inside, constantly with our minds fixed on them. We should share our struggles, share our pain, and share our guilt, because when we open up and let this balloon of emotion pop, we can confess it to our friends, peers, and our God. We can seek help and not be alone, because together we are one body of Christ, strong in him and building each other up, because we were not meant to do anything alone, which is why we have a God that helps and cares for us, so we should help and care for each other too, because we are strong together. Anyway:

Speak:

The dark is where the trouble lays
The things we don't say led our lives
For when the wounded stay silent in their ways
There's no chance that they'll survive

We think what we do can stay unsaid
That if it is not known, we can find peace
But though you don't say it, it's still in your head
And if it's not questioned, you'll never be free

For satan is saying, "It's really not bad"
But Christ is saying it's wrong
And when we ignore our struggles deep in our head
We find it hard to move along

No matter if it's small or if it is large
The truth is it's all still sin
And that 3 letter word, so full of evil
Can crack and destroy a person from within

So speak up, all you people
All of us go through this too
You are not as alone as you do believe
For sin is in all, not just a few

There is hope to the hopeless
We are here to hear your cries
For the bible says to carry each others burdens
And in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.
(Galatians 6:1-2)

-speak!

Sinless Gold

A man walks into the new world bank
He wears a black suit and tie
And as he walks his pockets rattle
Telling of the coins inside

"I would like to make a large deposit"
A grin speaks to the teller
"One thousand souls move in my pocket"
"To empty would feel much better"

"Would you like to see your receipt?"
The employee asks the person
"No that's alright, I'm always counting"
"and not a soul I'm missin"

"Well sir I'm seeing your down a lot"
"A withdraw of billions yesterday"
"no that's wrong, what has happened"
"This has to be a big mistake!"

"Well sir the name is here you see"
"A signature made by Jesus Christ"
"It says your accounts are bound to him"
"I'm not quite sure why your surprised"

"Surprised you say, or course I am"
"But.. But sir the money's his"
"The account was made in his name"
"For as long as he does live."

"Live you say, is that all"
"I know of what to do"
"I'll find a cross and 3 old nails"
"and make a stunning view"

So with that the devil took out coins,
he had a plan you see
He threw the coins out on the table
And etched in Pharisee

And with that the plan, was all set
the traps were all in motion
He tempted Jesus to see where he stood,
Checking his devotion

He said, "Just jump, you won't fall"
But Jesus knew where he stood
He pushed that devil away from him
and said Your gold is gone for good.

But the devil just grinned and didn't see
The enormous size of his arrogance
For on that day that Jesus died
he was left holding not a cent

For Jesus never really died
He simply just rose again
And he took that Gold and made it pure
Fully without sin

He paved the street of his new home
With the sinless Gold that shined
And then looked on down at that devil there
and said, "All is mine!"

Are these your first poems?

They are not bad and scripturally very sound, but I miss some application of good technique. I'd recommend to read some other poems to get you a better feel for words.

But I don't mean to only critique. The poems are really good for your first tries.

Poems every body, Poems

The bible says

Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Why?

Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Why?

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Now if every believer would sing out to God, Give a poem, give a melody to keep victory in mind.

Jesus Is Lord.
