sound doctrine

I looked up the term Dispensationalism and found as a counter theory something called Covenant Theology.

I have never found it difficult to believe and accept the Jews as God's CHOSEN people. In my opinion... it only stands to reason that they would ALWAYS be His Chosen people.

How I see things... I am GRATEFUL that the GENTILES were invited and included in the plan of SALVATION. I am always IN AWE of this INVITATION.... and most grateful for it.

From what I have read... the difference between the two camps is that one believes the COVENANT between GOD and ISRAEL still exists.
and the other camp believes that the covenant that GOD made with ISRAEL is nil and void... however... STILL transferred onto the GENTILES.
So there is NO more Jews and GENTILES in the eyes of God ... but now ONE BODY.

It seems to me that the Covenant Theory is a most ARROGANT one.

BEING ONE.... does not negate the fact that there are TWO peoples. One under COVENANT with GOD ( Israel ) and the other INCLUDED into the fold = AS Christians we are ONE. I don't find this concept to be offensive in the least. I find it actually to be COMFORTING. MY response is ABSOLUTE GRATITUDE.

So... I guess I qualify under yet another LABEL as a Dispensationalist. HAHA

certainly brought all the tom cats out a growling in pointing out the contradiction
Love that visualization.

I'm not sure what EXACTLY is a Dispensationalist. I believe in Mercy. Does that make me a Merciationalist? I believe in Grace. Does that make me a Gracist??!? Dispensations are just a way of describing what God has released, administered, given out, or dispensed to mankind. What I have found is that it is a way of coordinating epochs of history. These are marked by the major events of Biblical history. Creation is one. One can go through the Bible and find these. Other major events could be marked as: the fall of Adam and Eve, the Flood and the Promise marked by the rainbow, the covenant with Abraham, the Law given in the exodus, the life of Christ and rise of Christianity, and the Millennial Kingdom of Christ.

No, the bible teaches that right now only the New Covenant is enforced, as both saved Jews and gentiles must come under that one in order to be saved. The difference between how Covenant and Dispy view this is basically CT see the Church as now being spiritual Israel, while Dispy see National Israel as still being dealt with by God in great Tribulation and at Second Coming event in order to her ready to meet Yeshua and enter into millennial Kingdom Reign.

Moose I think you a nice Tom. : ) You not exactly sure about the ways of Dispensationalism . Well Primmy does invite you on one of her mystery tours . I do point you to a U tube site called ( the dance of life ) speaker Tudor Alexander. Go to the play list and you will find a series called ( the great delusion ) some 12 episodes but well worth the time . As the episodes click over you will have a much more enlightened opinion of the other side of Dispensationalism that stormed the Christian world some 200 years. Invitation only . But not for all. May the mystery tour begin in earnest. Yours Prim 🙋🏻‍♀️❤️. IMG_2613.webp

Bob certainly a most interesting post some before my time. Sweet tweety pie Lanolin certainly brought all the tom cats out a growling in pointing out the contradiction and holy grail of dispensationalism of their unscriptural two peoples policy when there was ever only one people of God not seperate compartments. That being the universal church past, present and future the Israel of God as one body of people not two. That being the spiritual seed born from God and not merely of a seperate physical ethnicity. I’m sure God has blessed Lanolin into a more deeper understanding of her discovery and her most daring post of almost a decade ago . Thank you Bob God bless for bringing the post back to light 🙋🏻‍♀️❤️

Good morning, Prim90;

Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words regarding Lanolin. I know you both had a good bond and I enjoyed reading your interactions with each other, talking Jesus.

I'm with you in prayer for our sister and let's hope one day soon she'll be back to fellowship with us all.

God bless you, sister.

Bob
