I'm still working my way through the Ethiopian canon. I read the following short books today:
Susannah - a short story of two lecherous judges who conspire to rape Susannah, an attractive young wife. Their plot fails so they decide to bear false witness against her to have her killed. It backfires against them and they die instead.
Bel and the Dragon - a story about Daniel who convinces the king to destroy the false gods and worship the Most High God instead. Daniel is thrown in with lions and survives seven days without harm. A shorter version of the events in the Book of Daniel.
Prayer of Azariah, and Song of the Three Young Men - these are two short stories of Azarias and his two companions who are thrown alive into a blazing furnace but are unharmed by God's mercy and grace. Another telling of the story from the Book of Daniel.
