Ten Talents?

As is with much scripture it has a compound meaning. We are all familiar with the general understanding of the talents being a reference to gifts given to man and the outcome is according to our stewardship.
But Jesus did say his church is built upon revelation.
The man who receives a token of revelation and buries it (walks away) seals his own doom.
The man who receives an honorable amount and responds to it will likewise be rewarded.
But the man who receives a worthy amount is not only rewarded but with revelation being built upon revelation he is 'air born'.

Good morning, 2404;

After reading Ten Talents? all Christians who study this passage in Matthew 25:14-30 and in James James 1:17, God entrusts us with gifts to be used for His Kingdom. All point to Revelation Scripture.

I come across the question of, "how do I recognize my gifts because I don't have any?" This is far from the truth and is more about low self esteem that does not come from God.

If one has a love and gift for cooking can feed the hungry, or enjoy visiting and listening to people in a retirement or nursing home, or helping a family on a tight budget reconcile their income and expenses. With God it's endless.

Everyone who follows Christ is anointed with 1, 5 or 10 talents. It is also true that when we truly believe we are spiritually investing in the talents entrusted to us, God will trust us with more to manage.

I remember my first opportunities with the people that allowed me to use the talents God entrusted me. It led me to increased opportunities and responsibilities that I love serving today.

God bless you, 2404, and thank you for sharing.
