Journal The Cabin

We might get a sprinkling of snow here every now and again. I dont miss the white stuff.
I do miss the variety of trees changing all kinds of fall colors though.
Sometimes I also miss the anonymity of living in a city like NY.
Oh, and shopping for deep sales on high end designer goods.
I still know right where to go :)

Where I live... we have the most MAGNIFICENT Autumns with all the glorious colours. The 4 seasons are what I love most about my location.

This year... in this last week... I have FELT the beginnings of the shift in temperature. The early mornings are very cool and crisp... which makes for a most wonderful walk to my beloved dock and back.

This has been my BEST summer EVER. I have enjoyed the outdoors in a way that I have never done before.
My neighbour gave me a zero gravity lounge chair ( in very good condition ) and that thing has been a GAME changer for me. I place it right at the end of our property so that I can get a perfect view of the lake and sky and it's MAGIC. If I could... I would sleep outside. It's as close to the camping life as I am able to get.

Puzzle season is approaching... I can feel it.... and this year is going to be a GOOD year. Last year was an OFF year for me. This year... I just have a feeling that puzzles are going to be my best friend over the fall and winter months.
I have about 10 puzzles in my closet that are worth re-doing... and so I will start with those... and then order myself some for Christmas for the new year.

Good morning, In Awe of Him;

Without giving away your city I remember when we visited Guelph, Ontario and your city was close by.

We stayed with family in Guelph, have friends in Erin, and visited our niece, husband and their kids in Tiverton.

All were beautiful areas with the four seasons.

The jury is still out on the corn.... I started with 8 and 5 survived... so.... I do think I might get a few cobs.
No silk yet but the tassels have broken through... they are healthy looking and nice and tall... so I am not sure
how the cobs produce.... I think this happens after you can see the silk.... and I think the bees need to do their job.
I have LOTS of bees in my garden so I am hoping....

I will try and figure out how to transfer my pictures on my camera to my Chromebook... and I will take pictures of the vegetables.
I am going to be BOMBARDED with ripe tomatoes soon.... BIG ones and my precious chocolate tomatoes.

I have had a good feed of mint.... I tried to dry some in the oven on the lowest temp but I have a suspicion I kind of burnt it... which
is tragic...I take that back.... I just opened the jar and smelled it... SMELLS like mint. HA.

Let me work on this project of my SD card converter. Me and modern technology do not go well together. HA
