Journal The Cabin

In Awe of Him, I'm curious. Do you have a large open yard to plant corn stalks? In order for corn to produce healthy it has to have plenty of room for it's roots, exposure to sun, etc...
Of course I did NOT know this. I do not have an open yard... I have a very small garden plot.... but I still am praying for at least 3 cobs of corn when everything is said and done. The only thing I knew about planting corn is that you have to have more than just ONE row. My sun exposure is fine. The neighbour's cut down two hovering pine trees last year and that has made all the difference. I now have full sun all day. GAME CHANGER as far as what I can now plant in my garden.

Someone gave me some SAN MARZANO tomatoes..... I am going to be roasting them this morning... as well as doing laundry and walking to the market.... SO... it's going to be a very busy morning.

A chipmunk has decided to take up residence right outside my garden under one of the walk-way cement steps.
I have named him Kyle. He is a very busy guy.... coming and going with the collection of acorns and such. He does not know I am STALKING him... I sit very quietly in my RED BEACH CHAIR and watch him dash about.

Today is laundry day.... walk to the market day.... and roast San Marzano tomatoes day!!!!

Finally a more warmish day. This last week was so very COOL... like Autumn. I really noticed a difference in my energy. YESTERDAY... I had absolutely NO energy. DA SHEEP stayed in her pyjamas the entire day. HA.

If I was a puppet... I would be MONA the little girl... The dog's name is Russel ( which she calls Russer )... and she has adventures at her Gramma's house. LOVE this. I have to get to the bottom of where it originated as I have just recently found these "short reels" of this wonderful production.... and... and... Apparently... it's Canadian.

Happy Sunday morning to my precious FORUM FAMILY.

I am slow roasting San Marzano tomatoes and the house smells like ITALY. HAHA.
I feel so bless to have received about 15 of these beauties. I have never had them as they are very
expensive and only usually come in a can... but these ones were fresh.... grown in Canada... so not
quite like the Italian ones... but none the less.... a step above a normal tomato.
They are on hour #3 in the oven on low heat... and I have about another 6 hours to go because I did not lay
them flat... they are over lapping because I stuck them all in a 9 by 13 glass pan.

It's a beautiful and cool "fall"ish morning... and gearing up to be a PRECIOUS REST DAY.... with JOYFUL WORSHIP in my heart.

LIFE is GOOD..... I am BLESSED beyond measure... and it is WELL WITH MY SOUL.

I treasure these moments where life reveals that I am RIGHT with GOD. The JOY and AWE that floods my soul at times like this are PRICELESS... and so.... DA SHEEP is going to spend the day roaming playfully in the meadow with HER SHEPHERD.

Good morning;

On Friday we were reminded it's Labor Day Weekend. So we got up early Saturday morning to run errands, fun errands.
We went to an eyeglass repair business. The owner and his wife were the only ones there. They asked how long we were married so aside from business we had a nice exchange about their marriage, grown up children and one grandchild. It was a nice visit.

On the way back we took care of a couple more errands and then stopped and had lunch at a little restaurant. My wife's exercise partners came in and said hello to us.

I'm thankful the heat wave in the mid and eastern United States had broken during August. Here in Daly City we're in our "late summer," the weather is pleasant, an average of 71 degrees, or 21.66 celsius during the day and evenings.

Like the song says, 🎼 the weather outside is weather. 🎵🎶

bobinfaith .... Tomorrow is officially the beginning of puzzle season.... Time to bring out the FAMOUS.... Mon Balcon puzzle. HAHAHAHAHA.

Speaking of puzzles.... I am EXCITED for this year.... I already have one chosen... and... AND... my neighbour is building me a custom made puzzle board.... just because he LOVES me. HA.

Going to wait till the weather resumes it's coolness.... For now... we appear to be experiencing nice warm summer weather.

It's that time of year again.... and the nurse will be at the Cabin tomorrow to give Anti-Owl-Possession shots.
I asked her if she could supply peanut butter cups this time instead of suckers... as Mr. Moose was quite disappointed in his "good boy" treat last time. Also... he was not impressed with his Peppa the pig bandaid..... just sayin.

The nurse will be here from 9-12 pm. No appointment necessary.

Aunt Helga supplied entertainment while the nurse was here. She told me that Mr. Moose is NOT coming in to get his seasonal shot... apparently he thinks I need to just GET OVER my paranoid AVOIDANCE issues with owls.... and so.... the CABIN no longer has paper bags for hyper-ventilating. :D

Out here in the back woods of Kentucky, we ain't got many 'Band Aids'. Iff'n we get a cut, we wash it with soapy water, dry it and just rub a couple leaves from a Witch Hazel plant on it and wrap it up fer a while. I don't recommend that fer city folks, but out here in rural Kentucky, it works OK when y'all ain't got anything else handy.

Y'all take care...

For some reason.....I can't stop listening to"Who Are You" by the Who.......

Good morning, Big Moose;

I could see us having coffee and discussing classic rock. I remember the Who's Who Are You when it came out in 1978. To be honest it didn't do anything for me after listening to their Rock Opera Tommy 1969 and Magic Bus 1968, etc...

My wife discovered the Who from their songs played on the CSI TV shows; Who Are You, Baba O'Riley, Won't Get Fooled Again and I Can See For Miles. lol!

Anyway, my morning thoughts.

God bless you, brother.

Ok.... the guy had tweezers.... and he purposely plucked a feather.... THERE is NOTHING accidental about that. FAKE NEWS!!!! Just sayin!!!

I have always enjoyed owls because I find them to be unique and special birds :)

Hello thenami;

We hear birds early in the morning outside our bedroom window. For a time I thought the owls were hoo-ing until my nephew who studies and owns a couple of birds told me it was the sound of doves.
lol!

Miku and my nephew Sage in Church.

Those CSI intros were worth tuning in for just to hear the songs brilliantly break in after the opening scene. I heard all those songs many times over the years while driving to work and on the construction sites where we would blast a classic rock station all day. I had.a liking for "I Can't Explain", "You Better You Bet" and "My Generation" with all that stuttering in it. Lol

Always loved the line in "You Better" : "When I say 'I love you', you say 'You BETTER'!"
Hahaha
