The Fullness of Christ

There is a reference to the fullness of Christ in Ephesians 1:23, specifically.
What exactly is the fullness of Christ?

The fullness of Christ I believe is the work of Christ. (the father and son working as one. ) The work of faith or labor of His love. We are his master work of His art The Potter does the forming and breathing in new spirit life. .

If he begins the good work of salvation we have him as our confidence that works in us, with us, making the daily burden lighter. He will finish it to the end the receiving of the promised new incorruptible bodies

Philipians1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Here is a possible definition for your review and consideration:

This is the point of Ephesians 1:23, which speaks of the fullness of Christ filling all in all. The sense here is not a physical or spatial filling, although the Son of God, according to His divinity, possesses the attribute of omnipresence (He is present in all locations); rather, the idea is that the exalted Christ spreads throughout all of creation with His controlling power. God directs all things to their appointed ends in His eternal plan to make His reign manifest over all creation and unite everything in heaven and earth in submission to our Savior.

Basically, in my view, the fullness of Christ is that all things are fulfilled by Christ, for Christ, and overseen by Christ.

NOTE: Not to be confused with the fullness of Gentiles which is completely different.

Do we get to see this occurrence? Will we see it with our own eyes?

I would offer..

Christians as Ambassadors for Christ. . apostles sent from a foriegn land land not of this world I would think from a far off we can see the propmise of Hebrew 11:40 . When these eyes in these earthen bodies of death, that lust after the temporal thing seen and flesh as the pride of this life. When they are exchanged for the incoruptible then the former things of here under the sun will not be remembered or ever come to mind. Now is the time we can offer our good works Christ working in us, with us making our burden of death and suffering , lighter.

The context of Ephesians 1 and the meaning of the Greek word translated fullness gives us the answer to this question.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (KJV)
Here Christ blesses us with all spiritual blessings.

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (KJV)
Explains who receives these blessings it is the chosen who make up the church or body of Christ.

Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (KJV)
Part of the blessing is Christ's redemption of us from our sins.

Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. (KJV)
All that Christ has done in us as a church brings glory to Christ.

Many more gifts are mentioned that we receive through Christ.

Eph 1:19-23 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. (KJV)

So the body is not Christ's physical body, but the body of Christ (the Church). That fullness that we have is all the spiritual blessings, fullness of Christ's redemption, fullness of Christ's great power that he has towards us that believe for Christ works in us mightily.

Yes indeed, as we are little stones in His Temple, the body of Christ!

So what are all these spiritual blessings ?
Are they just the fruits of the spirit?
Or is there others?
My suggestion is that the Fullness of Christ is that everything has been completed through Christ. So yes, in part. The fruits of the spirit are blessings of His presence dwelling within us for His glory through us but the spiritual blessing is that we have an open door policy to the Throne Room of God and are forgiven by Him. He tells us to come boldly before the Throne of Grace (Hebrews 4:16).

And....

grieving, hungry or poor in spirit are all spiritual blessings as I’ve just read one of beatitudes.

well, it dosent seem that way when you are in the throes of them.

so, It’s true then...
God makes us uncomfortable in order to grow😊
I have found that most often, it seems, the more deprived we are the more equipped we are for worshipping God and seeing Him in our lives. Fasting is a good example of when the body is deprived the spirit comes alive. Or when the church is persecuted how united it becomes.
