The Journey

Because we live in a state of imperfection no one at the end of their road has a real feeling of a finish or completion there always seems to lingered a feeling for a 'closure'.
The only way to attain the realization of finish is to connect with the eternal, then there is no more trying to accomplish. If we connect with the eternal it has already been accomplished.
Consider, when Steven was being stoned he cried out to the Father to forgive them.
Steven's accusers were in a 'wanting' condition. They were lacking the closure the peace in their journey. Always fighting, striving for that which was unattainable for them.
Being born again 'in a sense' takes us out of the carnal race.

I suppose we would do well to let go of that desire for closure...

I recall when I was sick and believed it to be my last day. I thought of my wife and how she would struggle on her own. There was sadness but also acceptance, the understanding that we all walk alone in relation to others. Only with God are we truly joined as one. There was some peace in seeing that. Fortunately I lived and recovered but the knowledge remains.

Yes, once we've been around the block a few times, and have a sound mind in Christ it changes our perspective. We cry with those who weep and rejoice with those in victory but our vision/goal goes beyond our current experiences.
God bless you LearningToLetGo as we press on.
