Major a lot of evidence has come out on Pearl harbour in recent times including the declassified documents from the American security agency bringing to light that the Americans had already broken the Japanese diplomatic code ( blue ) and the Japanese naval code ( purple ) long before Pearl harbour ever happened. You don’t.think the Americans might not have had a inkling of what Japan was planning? And even before that you have many witness testimonies like Soviet agent Richard Sorge who reported his information to the Russian government in October 1941 that Japan was intending to attack Pearl harbour that information was passed on to Washington 60 days before the actual attack. You also have basically the same information given from British double agent Dusko Popov warning them as well. You also have intelligence warnings from Australia also. There be much more evidence far to much to put in its entirety here . This is why you must elevate so many things and not merely cast off everything as a conspiracy theory . Firstly the American people weren’t interested in fighting in another European war they’d seen enough of the meaningless waste of life from the Great War. President Roosevelt had already promised that no American boy would be sent off to war on his watch but later changed that in other speeches to as long as America isn’t attacked by another nation. It had already been made abundantly clear to him that 80 percent of the American people were not going to tolerate having their children’s blood spilt in a war that had nothing to do with them a world away . The only way to change that was to create a situation where one of the Axis powers attacked America. Cutting off japans oil supply was a death sentence on its own and a little bit more than just turning the screws on Japan. That was act of war upon Japan. President Roosevelt knew exactly what he was doing. The question of sacrificing 2000 of your own people to bring about a change in policy from a Christian perspective is a most repulsive one and a most difficult one to comprehend. But Major we must also think deeply upon what the word of God tells us . That being the whole world lies in wickedness and deceit. So yes there are people that will do exactly that Was it just a coincidence that the 4 aircraft carriers stationed at Pearl harbour were out on active duty at the time with one being under maintenance elsewhere. I do think far to many coincidences. You may see things differentlyYou said............
"Not that your President Roosevelt didn’t know fully well that the Japanese imperial navy wasn’t on its way to attack Pearl harbour ".
In the nicest way I can possibly say this.......You are embarrassing yourself!!!!
IMHO, if I were YOU i would stop posting this stuff now instead of later. But that is just my opinion.
You are showing all of us that you are consumed by Conspiracy theories, half-truths.
It is clear to me that you are trying to get some kind of attention as you present thoughts and opinions coming from conspiracy blogs alongside real news and information on social networks — but that's nothing new. It is one of the curses of thenew social media that we can say what we think with an attempt to alter real historical facts for a personal agenda.
The official investigations into the Japanese attack started in the 1940s, and even now, each time new documents become declassified, a headline pops up asking whether Roosevelt allowed it. Think about that for just moment.
A dearly beloved president, re-elected at that time the 3rd time, would jeopardize his standing, his position and loyalty to the USA by allowing the attack to take place and killing 2800 Americans. The idea boggels my mind for that thought to be known.
YES, Roosevelt had been tightening the screws on Tokyo to hinder the Japanese conquest of China, "instituting a full embargo on exports to Japan, freezing Japanese assets in U.S. banks and sending supplies into China along the Burma Road," - according to the state department in 1945.

These kinds of bad assumptions and poor intelligence start wars, an understanding that seems so obvious today even as the conspiracy theories outlive the eyewitnesses to the battle.
