THe Temple Of God's Spirit
1 Corinthians 6:19 ...... Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
We all know this verse but are we really understanding it's meaning ?
We are bought with a price . Jesus sacrificed all for you and me . Once we put that in to our spirit and grasp the true meaning of what He did for us on the cross it becomes evident that we want to live lives pleasing to Him .
You have heard the expression garbage in garbage out and it is so true that because our body is a temple we need to watch what we are putting in . Are we putting entertainment in that is not glorifying His name , music that has demonic connotations , looking at stuff on the internet that we think no one sees and the list goes on .
Who are we fooling? Maybe no one sees but God does and maybe that is why the blessings do not flow in our lives .
God has a high regard for our bodies . We should as well . Respect our bodies - not worship them . OUr body after all is the temple of God Think about it . Be careful how you feed it , and maintain it . Just like an engine of a car , we need to maintain our body and make sure it remains the temple that God desires.
You wouldn't want any one trashing your home would you ? By the same token , God does not want any one trashing His.
