I think you misunderstand me brother. I do not think God is an American. What I am trying to say is that "Thanksgiving" is a part of the fabric of your roots, woven together in history. I can just imagine this group of people gathered together in a makeshift cabin in the then wilderness of their new lands, thanking God for all his provisions and his blessings on their lives. Didn't mean to offend you, sorry.
No mam I believe it's the other way around. I totally understood you and that is why I said I missed that or another words I never looked at thanksgiving as just a American holiday but chose to see it as a holiday under God to God.
I added the part that God ain't American as to be silly and just another way or reason why I choose to Not See it as an American holiday only.
