Tribute to 9-1-1 ... 17th anniversary

911.jpg

As we approach another anniversary of 9-1-1 we want to take a moment to remember those whom lost their lives, those who survived and those first responders who dared to put their lives on the line to do what needed to be done to help those in need, and paid for it dearly with their lives.

The comfort that we have been allowed to receive every day would mean nothing and not be available without the awesome sacrifices that our men and women of law enforcement, all branches of military, fire departments and hospitals make on a daily basis.

Please take the time to join the staff here at cfs to pray for their loved ones and pass along a blessing in your prayers for those responsible for all of the Grace's we have all been provided. And if at all possible pass along your gratitude to those whom you can.

May the Lord bless and keep you all in His goodness, grace and favor in Jesus Name

I will take this opportunity to re-post my Chapel's Weekly Inspiration here in this tribute thread:

Good Day Friends; As the 17th. anniversary of the 9-1-1 radical terrorist attacks on the US is remembered this week, we look to the present and what is it that we see? The same type of conduct by individuals who are plotting each day to do harm to others. While we see the terrible conflicts worldwide in the news each day, let us not forget to honor those innocent victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, in New York City, Washington, D.C. and in a farm field in Pennsylvania. May God continue to bless the families of those who were lost and may we all honor their memory in prayer. We also pray for the first responders who assisted victims that day - some of which have also lost their lives in trying to help others. On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, please join with millions of others in a moment of silent prayer. Thank you and may God Bless

September 11, 2001 was a day my wife and I will never forget that one word, surreal.

The truth that Americans were killed by the enemy in our own country gave us persective of people on all corners of the earth killed in their own native countries by invading enemies.

The truth that so many Americans had forgotten for a moment the blessings and opportunites of living in this country and how we are not invinciple.

The truth of pain and loss of our fellow Americans who were killed at the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

The truth of so many Americans who made division and rebellion of others in our country, coming together as one nation and putting aside our differences as a result of the attack.

The Truth of the majority of Americans filling the Churches of God and though many were not believers, suddenly felt a sense of reassurance from the True God who can bring about His LOVE, promise and protection for those who will turn to Him and follow His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

September 11, 2001 changed America forever. That day many Americans accepted Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The world would disagree because of low statistics and numbers of Americans coming to Christ, while remaining within the wider gates.

What mattered to God on September 11, 2001 and today, are the ones who made a decision to follow Jesus through the narrow gates.

Matthew 7:13-14, 13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

We will never forget 911 and the families who lost their loved ones needlessly in our own backyard. At that same time the Christian community in America will always remember the ones who came to Jesus and are still following Him today.

May God bless you all and your families and pray for His blessings upon America.

Sometimes in life certain events happen that seem to pierce through right into to soul of all humanity. These things touch the world so deeply, that everyone is in some way changed. The tragedy that occurred on Sept. 11 was one such event.
No words could begin to express how deeply we were each touched.
We freely offered our love, support, prayers, and encouragement to all of those involved... the families, communities, volunteers, those who were hurt, and those who were taken from us.
We remember this day in honor of all them.
For those families, victims, communities, volunteers, and survivors... we want you to know that you all matter. None of you are forgotten. You are cared about. You are loved. You are thought about. You are prayed for. You matter.
We are all in this world together... and our thoughts, feelings, and prayers are with you all.
May God bless you always and grant you healing, peace and love.

The Staff at CFS is opening up this Tribute Thread to all members. If you wish to post your own remembrance or tribute, feel free. However, politically motivated posts will not be allowed. This thread is to honor the persons who lost their lives at the hands of terrorists on 9-1-1 and those who have lost their lives since then as first responders who were subjected to the toxic debris at the sites.

Thank you.
