The creation of the US Space Force is not surprising considering that US government officials are now viewing extraterrestrial visitations as serious possibilities. Why does the Department of Defense serve as the action agency on this issue? The answer is obvious. In order to defend against extraterrestrial visits, the defense department must convince the visitors, who are seeking intelligent life, that the Americans have none by beaming television programs, network news, and congressional sessions into space. That will keep the visitors away from the US.
