Walking in the garden

The first recorded incident of someone sowing doubt about God's Word was in Genesis the third chapter:

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Until this time Adam and Eve had walked in total dependance and obediance to the Word of their God- He was the source of all their way of life and they had no thought other then to follow Him

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

This is the first recorded human decision void of the councel of God- Eve wieghed it out in her own thoughts and the seperation began

Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

From this point on man began to walk in the way of the flesh seperated from His God but what did that cost them?

Gen 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

Before they choose their own way Adam and Eve walked with God sharing His fellowship, wisdom, provision and blessing- then they decided to walk their own way - Don't let the devil or one of his messengers talk you out of believing God's Word- walk His way- remember the tree in the garden was the knowledge of Good and Evil- but choosing without God's leading and counsel will only have one effect- you will wind up cut of from those beautiful garden walks. Amen and Amen again! I wonder if Adam and Eve could look back on all that they have caused due to disobediance How they would feel.... They dont know just how blessed and special they were to be so close to God. Man I cant wait to get to heaven to experience that closeness with the father without ANY DISTRACTION!!

Very encouraging!
