Walking in the Light.....

We can believe in God and His Son but if we do not keep His commandment to have love for one another, then our faith in Him is not being made manifest in this earth. Can faith alone save a man that has no works of love?

James 2:14 KJV
(14) What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

No, because faith without the labor of love is dead being alone. Our continuous good works of love is a sign of our faith in Him. Our faith wrought with good works of love is made COMPLETE (perfect). Faith without works (the righteousness of God) is incomplete and dead. The good “works” are not ours but His righteousness that we work.

James 2:17-22 KJV
(17) Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
(18) Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
(19) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
(20) But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
(21) Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

By works our faith is made complete....

(22) Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are IN Christ Jesus who WALK NOT after the flesh but after the Spirit. This walk is continuous. The law of the Spirit of life IN Christ Jesus makes us free from the law of sin and death. This is a here and NOW thing. He has rendered mortal death idle…NOW …and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (the good news) of which we are to hear and believe in.

Romans 8:1-2 KJV
(1) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
(2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death
.

If Christ is IN us, the body is dead because of sin but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Romans 8:10-14 KJV
(10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

If the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead DWELLS in us (continuously), He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also make ALIVE (NOW) our mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in us. Jesus WAS dead and is ALIVE NOW. He triumphed over death already and so we are to also in the here and now in Christ Jesus.

(11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
(12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

If we are led the Spirit of God by mortifying the deeds of the body, we shall live….NOW. We shall have "eternal life" in the here and now.

(13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
(14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

We are to have faith and DO GOOD unto ALL men…for if we continuously sow to the Spirit, then of the Spirit shall we reap an age-lasting life in the here and now.

Galatians 6:7-10 KJV
(7) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
(8) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

If we do not become weary in well doing, in due season we shall reap life “everlasting” if we faint not. Let us do good unto ALL men….especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

(9) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
(10) As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

If we always bear about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus (always abiding in Him), then the life also of Jesus will be made manifest in our MORTAL flesh…our bodies…in the here and now. This is the “daily” sacrifice we are to keep so that the life of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh and display the glory of God unto this dark, dying world. The life of Jesus within us shall appear outwardly.

2 Corinthians 4:10-11 KJV
(10) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
(11) For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh
.

We are to present our mortal bodies as a LIVING sacrifice…..being holy and acceptable unto God. If we keep the “daily sacrifice” of Jesus, His life shall appear for the world to see. We are not to be conformed to this world of envy and strife where the flesh of all men are decaying away to the grave in their sins. Instead, we are to be TRANSFORMED into His image by the renewing of our minds so that we may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. We PROVE to the outside decaying world what it truly means to DO His will.

Romans 12:1-2 KJV
(1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
(2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Why do we not see this now in the churches of carnal men? Because they are setting aside the commandment of God to have love for one another in order to keep their traditions and commandments of men which only cause envy and strife among His people. For since there is jealousy and strife among us, are we not fleshly, and are we not walking like mere men?

If we sow after the flesh, then we shall die. We have no true works of God’s righteousness then if we walk after the flesh instead of continuously walking after the Spirit. Many are being led astray by false prophets who preach for money instead of working with their own hands to support their own necessities. Covetousness is the “abomination of desolation” that should not be named once among us as becoming saints.

We are to be followers of God and not the false prophets who preach for false profits and lead many astray down the broad way to the destruction of the mortal body. Our mortal bodies are the temple of the Spirit of God. Those who destroy the temple of God by what they are preaching and leading many astray from the holy commandment to have love for one another are being destroyed themselves. They remove the keeping of the “daily” sacrifice in order for you to live according to their lusts….their hidden covetousness. We can not keep company with those who are called “brothers” but are covetous. We MUST COME OUT from among them and be separate.

They WILL persecute us for leaving their company….but we are not to render evil for evil. We are to bless those who will curse us so that we shall inherit a blessing: eternal life….the life of Jesus being made manifest in our mortal flesh.

1 Peter 3:8-17 KJV
(8) Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
(9) Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

He that will love life and see good days is the refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.

(10) For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
(11) Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
(12) For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
(13) And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

The churches of carnal men will not understand why we shall no longer run with them after their things as they will call us “evil doers”. But we are not to render evil for their evil. If we suffer for righteousness’ sake, then happy are we.

(14) But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

We are to always sanctify the Lord God in our hearts and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks for the reason of the hope that is in us with meekness and fear.

(15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
(16) Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
(17) For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

The world does not recognize us yet as the sons of God. It does not appear what we are to them….yet.

1 John 3:1-3 KJV
(1) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

But it will be manifest to the world who we are as the life of Jesus shall appear in our mortal flesh giving us “eternal life”.

(2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Every man that has this hope in Him purifies himself even as He is pure.

(3) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

The path of the just is as the shining light that shines more and more unto the perfect day. we are transformed into His image.

Proverbs 4:
(18) But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

The way of the wicked is as darkness as they do not know at what they stumble.

(19) The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

We are to hear the words of the Lord whose words are life and spirit.

(20) My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

We are to keep His words of life and spirit. They are LIFE unto those that find them and health to all of our flesh. His life shall appear in our mortal flesh which shall prove to this dark world what it means to do His will.

(21) Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
(22) For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
(23) Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

We are to make straight paths for the Lord and not respond in evil toward what we hear. We are to refrain our tongues from evil and speak no deceit....handling the Word of God deceitfully as a cover for covetousness.

(24) Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
(25) Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
(26) Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
(27) Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

We are to walk in love….keeping the “daily “ sacrifice …as Christ love us and has given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.

Ephesians 5:1-11 KJV
(1) Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
(2) And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

But covetousness should not be once name among us as becoming saints. When we see the “abomination of desolation” where it ought not be, we are to flee from it. It should not be in our hearts. It should not be in the company we keep in the churches of men. We must depart from among them and be separate from those who call themselves “brothers” but are covetous.

(3) But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
(4) Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

No covetous man…who is an idolater….has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. They are perishing from off this earth as their mortal bodies are decaying away to the grave without the life of Jesus being made manifest in their mortal flesh.

(5) For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
(6) Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

We are to not be partakers with them. We are to be LIGHT in the Lord and walk as children of light.

(7) Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
(8) For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
(9) (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth
(10) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
(11) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

In nature, it is said that the clock will slow down if one travels in a spaceship that approaches the speed of light (186,000 miles per second) relative to a person who stays still on the earth. If we are in the Light with Him who is the LIGHT, then we shall have eternal life so that we may prove to this world what is acceptable unto the Lord. Our "clocks" shall slow down as our lives are prolonged upon this earth when we walk in the Light with Him.

Proverbs 3:1-6 KJV
(1) My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
(2) For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
(
3) Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
(4) So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
(5) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
(6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

We MUST NOT keep company with those who are called “brothers” but are covetous. We are to keep our gatherings in His name pure….for a little leaven will leaven the whole group.

1 Corinthians 5:7-13 KJV
(7) Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
(8) Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
(9) I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
(10) Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
(11) But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
(12) For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
(13) But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked perso

A speaker of the Word MUST work with his own hands to support his own necessities as the true apostles showed and commanded us. The true apostles did not preach for money but labored with their own hands to support their own needs. Paul was a tentmaker in order that the gospel would have free course.

Acts 20:32-35 KJV
(32) And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
(33) I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.

(34) Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

He showed the overseers of the churches ALL things how that so laboring with our own hands will support the “weak”….the outside weak minds of the world who see the preaching for money and vilify the gospel.

(35) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

The Word of the Lord is to have “free course” and be glorified. We are to freely give as we have received His Word and not be charging money for preaching.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-16 KJV
(1) Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
(2) And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
(3) But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
(4) And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
(5) And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

We are commanded in the name (authority) of our Lord Jesus Christ to withdraw ourselves from every brother that walks disorderly (preaching for money) and not after the tradition (transmission) which that brother received of the true apostles. Their transmission to us: work with your own hands to support your own needs and not preach for money so that the Word has free course and be glorified in the world.

(6) Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
(7) For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

The true apostles did not eat any man’s bread for nothing but did work with their own hands night and day so that they would not be chargeable to anyone.

(8) Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
(9) Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
(10) For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
(11) For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
(12) Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

But if they do not hear and obey this saying by this letter, we are to note that man and have no company with him. We are to do this in kindness….admonishing him gently as a brother…and not be weary in well doing.

(13) But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
(14) And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

(15) Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
(16) Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

We are to come out from among them and be separate and touch not the unclean thing. What do we have in common with those who will not believe in what they hear the Spirit saying?

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV
(14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
(15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
(16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
(18) And will be a Father
unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Covetousness should not be once named among us as saints. Case in point: “Achan” which means “to trouble.” Achan did commit a trespass in the accursed thing (covetousness) and wrath fell upon ALL of the congregation of Israel. Achan did not perish ALONE in his iniquity as he took others with him. We perish along with the covetous when we keep company with them. The life of Jesus is not being made manifest in our mortal flesh as we decay away to the grave along with them.

Joshua 22:20 KJV
(20) Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? and that man perished not alone in his iniquity.

Covetousness should not be named among us as becoming saints. Let him that steals steal no more and labor with his own hands to support his own needs.

Joshua 7:10-26 KJV
(10) And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?

A little leaven will leaven the whole congregation.

(11) Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

We can not stand before our enemies except we destroy covetousness from among us.

(12) Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

We are to rise up and sanctify the people. We are to take away the accursed thing…covetousness…from among us. We can not keep company with those who call themselves “brothers” but are covetous….for we are being “troubled”. We are perishing along with them in their idolatry. We can not continue to stand in this world as the world vilifies the Word of the Lord because of what they see: all of the money preaching among us.

(13) Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.
(14) In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall take shall come man by man.
(15) And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.
(16) So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:
(17) And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken:
(18) And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.
(19) And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.
(20) And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done
:

We can not use our good words and fair speeches to cover our covetousness in our hearts. We can not preach the Word of God deceitfully for unjust gain as the world sees this and speaks evil of the Way of righteousness. The Word is not being glorified and so we are being “troubled”.

(21) When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.
(22) So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.
(23) And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD.
(24) And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.

We must keep our selves pure from those who are called “brothers” but are covetous. If we keep company with them, we are being “troubled”. We must put away from among yourselves that wicked person as they did with Achan. We are to admonish them as brothers and not be weary in well doing as we part from their company.

(25) And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.
(26) And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

We must keep the feast without leaven. We must keep separate from those who preach for money and will not work with his own hands to support his own needs.

Exodus 12:14-17 KJV
(14) And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

We must put away the leaven out of our houses. Those who eat leavened bread is to be put out of our houses….our congregations. We can not keep company with those who call themselves “brothers” but are covetous. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators…

(15) Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

We can not preach for money. No manner of “work” is suppose to be done in our gatherings: getting paid to work in the church. We are to work with our own hands outside of the church to support our own needs. No manner of work shall be done IN our gatherings….save that which every man must eat that only may be done of you…..meaning: we are to work with our own hands to support our own needs. If a man does not work with his own hands to support his own needs, then he should not eat with us in our feasts.

(16) And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
(17) And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
