War in Ukraine

.

I'd wonder who is the king of the South, except perhaps Egypt, which at this time is unlikely.

Interesting, I've always heard it would happen just before the GT or at it's beginning due to the massive cleanup in Ezek 39.

I would say the end-time king of the South may represent the leader of a confederacy of Arab nations or a powerful Arab nation. As it was historically, Egypt will likely be involved (Daniel 11:42).

Just so we are on the same page.......What is "GT" you mentioned?

GT=Great Tribulation.

(Dan 11:42) He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

In that passage it looks like Egypt will be on the receiving end of the King of the North.

Now I've heard it taught that Sheba and Dedan was perhaps an Arab Confederacy protesting Rosh's invasion of Israel in Ez 38...

Ezekiel 38:13 (NASB) "Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will say to you, 'Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?'

Goes to show prophetic interpretations can be all over the map.

Yes.........as have I.
We see this coalition of powers in Ezekiel 38:13, where it is shown in the act of questioning the leader of the invasion:
"Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?"

The invader’s forces are aimed at Israel, but involve the entire Middle East. Sheba and Dedan, aligned with a group of "merchants," are seen here questioning the motives of the northern aggressor. Since the powers represented by these names, Sheba and Dedan, seem to figure rather strongly among the latter-day world powers, and it seems that Egypt has always been against Israel.

An ugly turn of events...
