Had a storm move through yesterday afternoon, and lost power…
Typically, when this happens, I give it about 30 seconds while it reroutes, and power comes back up…if goes out after that…. most likely it’s going to be out for a while. Today it did not come back up …after 10 minutes passed then the second storm moved in and it was blazing….50-60 mph winds ..and was raining sideways.
Anyhow …I enjoy storms, but I enjoy power more… so I prayed a quick prayer and thanked God for bring the power back up …two minutes later…Lights on, modem back …cool, Thank you Father!!!!! BUT there is more.
I had been busy working on the computer…. So, I had not had a chance to step outside. Around dusk I went out with the dogs ….and was hearing all this noise …”generators”. I started looking around …it’s completely dark. I jump in the car and drive around …Nobody has power at least within a mile radius …I am the only one. I have lost power a few times this year along with the neighbors….…this is not an anomaly ….this is God.
I came back and check the outage map and sure enough ….the huge yellow shaded area shows…. I do not have electricity ….But …I have a power source, and it’s God. I did turn off my outside lights and only used a few on inside so as not to cause jealousy with any neighbors.
I was going to say, I can’t explain it …but I think I just did ……………….Thank God for God
This morning…. after dealing with 5 more storms throughout the night….(seemed like 1 every hour) and nearly 600 thousand without power … mine is still on. My thought for the day (which…… I am allowed one)
“Our storms in life, no matter what they are, will come … but they are not defined by what we see….they are defined by how we view them. Sense knowledge offers defeat…. spiritual knowledge offers more than a conquer….how big is our God”.
I am not saying that every time the power goes out it will not affect me ….although that would be really sweet. I had/have a need to maintain electricity in my home …I prayed, and God met that need …and it definitely is supernatural in nature (something I can’t/won’t post, but it defies natural reality)
FYI - I text my neighbors early this morning (the ones without generators) and gave them the mi casa, es su casa, until power is restored…….. When asked how I have electricity, I told them I have an alternate power source …and that has led to some inquisitive conversations…..what great open door.
