What Are Your Health Concerns?

The Rolling Stones had a song called Mother's Little Helper. It was suggestive but in the song was the line, "What a drag it is getting old"
lol, I liked the Beatles geriatric version from When I'm Sixty Four...

"When I get older losing my hair
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me a valentine
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I'd been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty four?"

Sheesh, 64 came and went many years ago...but I still have my hair! lol

Hello forgiven;

When we were in our 30s we talked about other things but today most of us have one thing of many things in common, our health.
The Rolling Stones had a song called Mother's Little Helper. It was suggestive but in the song was the line, "What a drag it is getting old"
i have small concerns per health i do think what if/ i will live till i die . i have more concerns as time progresses . i wonder what tomorrow will hold Ecclesiastes 8

8 There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

God Bless all your conditions everyone. This life sure does cause us pain and suffering.
I too hate going to the doctors, and hospitals have always been a nightmare for me, I have bad experiences both the times I went. I was put on a drip and the nurse inserted the IV drip in my muscle and my arm blew up. I was told I wasn't even pregnant after having a miscarriage and treated melike I was making it up only to apologise later when the doctor confirmed. But I will still go if I have to, if i'm on deaths door.

I have just been ill with some kind of bug. but my main problems are just ADHD related depression and anxiety. I try to eat well and excersise and stay away from most sensationalistic media and tabloid news. im also allergic to politics these days.๐Ÿ˜Š

Speaking of Ecclesiastes...

Ecclesiastes 12:3-7 KJV
In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened, [4] And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low; [5] Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets: [6] Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. [7] Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

I've heard Chuck Swindoll itemize each of these as different parts of the body as we age.
Amplified Bible gives a shortened version...

Ecclesiastes 12:2-7 AMP
before the sun and the light, and the moon and the stars are darkened [by impaired vision], and the clouds [of depression] return after the rain [of tears]; [3] in the day when the keepers of the house (hands, arms) tremble, and the strong men (feet, knees) bow themselves, and the grinders (molar teeth) cease because they are few, and those (eyes) who look through the windows grow dim; [4] when the doors (lips) are shut in the streets and the sound of the grinding [of the teeth] is low, and one rises at the sound of a bird and the crowing of a rooster, and all the daughters of music (voice, ears) sing softly. [5] Furthermore, they are afraid of a high place and of dangers on the road; the almond tree (hair) blossoms [white], and the grasshopper (a little thing) is a burden, and the caperberry (desire, appetite) fails. For man goes to his eternal home and the mourners go about the streets and market places. [6] Earnestly remember your Creator before the silver cord [of life] is broken, or the golden bowl is crushed, or the pitcher at the fountain is shattered and the wheel at the cistern is crushed; [7] then the dust [out of which God made man's body] will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

Hello brothers and sisters;

This may be a sensitive question and if you feel uncomfortable sharing then I understand and will ask you to pray for others.

Do you have a health concern that we can pray for? I'll start first.

I have type II diabetes. I was diagnosed back in 1990. I was 33 years old and being an active ball player it was hard to swallow and accept. After the shock I got a grip and through my doctor's help in treating my diabetes I started taking meds on a daily basis, exercise and watch what I eat.

In my later years I have accepted that my type II diabetes can lead to a break down in my organs, affect my eyesight and cause other complications if I don't manage my health problem. By God's grace and great healing I have been able to manage my sugar level (A1C), my optometrist gave me a clean bill of health on my eye tests this year with another one following after the summer. I exercise weekly to work up a sweat.

I need prayer to maintain the discipline of managing my diabetes. The temptation of eating too many sweets, getting lazy to exercise and not wearing the proper glasses for my eyes are negative signs that could affect my later years.

In Jeremiah 33:6, 6 Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security. - ESV

In Jeremiah the people were suffering from destruction, no doubt health issues and death. In their city God promised to bring healing and good health. In this context God is the Great Healer. Managed or good health is prosperity. Security includes serving others physically besides spiritually.

God bless you all and thank you for allowing me to share my vulnerable condition with my health.

I would love to hear others so we can pray for your health no matter where you are.
My wife is wheelchair bound with venous insufficiency, diabetes, and kidney disease. I have hypertension, diabetes, and coronary artery disease. We're praying for a mobility van so I can get my wife out of the house and we can go to church again; right now we watch TV worship services on Sundays but would rather be there in person.

Hello BibleLover;

God bless you and your wife.
What you shared reminds me of my wife of 38 years. She had knee surgery on her right leg 12 years ago. She goes to the gym and her trainer guides her what exercises to do.

But now she is slowly using a cane when we travel. At the airports when we check in she has to request wheelchair assistance.

I remember the days when Hazel was a swimmer in college and could run. Now I pray for God to prepare me to care for her closer in case she is confined to a wheelchair. It's heartbreaking to think of this but we both are accepting and doing the best we can.

My prayer for you folks is God's guidance of your health, day to day.

God bless you, brother and your whole family.

Since we're having a wife dogpile, my wife (Corinne) has a brain aneurysm in the 'circle of willis' area (but has known of it for about 15 years) also she a bad case of osteoporosis (that of a person 30 years senior); me? I'd say overweight ('the woman you gave me, she fed me and I did eat'), along with the sleep apnea I had mentioned earlier.

My prayers!

My wife is real close to a wheel chair. She has not been able to go to church for 3 years.

Hello brothers and sisters;

I don't know if this is a health or mental concern. When I dream it's usually chaos.

For example, I always have dreams of arriving at Church but before service starts everything is disorganized.

Or, if my wife and I are planning a trip everything is disorganized and it seems to take forever to catch the plane, train or automobile.

Then when I wake up after 6 or 7 hours I'm still feeling somewhat tired. I hope it's not sleep apnea.

Can anyone relate to this?

God bless
everyone.

Maybe lack of iron??

Another diabetic here, type 1 since the age of 10 1/2 in 1995, will likely have it for life since it's autoimmune -- unless God does a miracle, or they find a cure for it in my lifetime. I've been able to manage it well. No complications after almost 30 years, A1C usually under 7. Doctors are happy with me in how I take care of it.

Harder to manage is Asperger Syndrome, but that also has gotten much better, especially in the last 2-3 years. Magnesium citrate and a nootropic supplement, apigenin, which is also found in large amounts in parsley and chamomile tea (the latter of which I'm allergic to), have helped me be more pleasant socially, and more adaptive to everyday, social, and novel situations.

My son has phenylketonuria.

Husband has depression.
