What could be considered the "Saddest day of the year?"

THE SADDEST DAY OF THE YEAR

When one asks; "What is the saddest day of the year?" maybe some will say; "When they crucified Messiah Yeshua on the cross. Well, perhaps it was the saddest day for God, since He sacrificed his own son, for the sins of many, for the sins of all, yet He had this in his perfect plan since the beginning of the world. For us, it would be the joyous day, since, on that day, our sin debt was paid in full,
So, what would be considered the saddest day of the year, many would say "Tisha B'Av" but what is that?

…Tisha ’B’Av, or the “9th of Av” this year, falls on July 22nd, 2018, is a time of sadness, sorrow, the question begins with “Eiha? (how) and “Lamah” (why?). The book of Lamentations begins with “Eiha” (how) “How alone she sits, the city (Jerusalem) once great with people….”

…..The voice of Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) after the destruction of the 1st Beit HaMikdash (Temple) and the city of Jerusalem by the Babylonians in 586 B.C.E the destruction culminated on the 9th of Av, (Tish’B”Av) This date marks the tragedies of many destructions in the history of Am Israel. Here’s a list, the destruction of the 1st temple is the first.

…..70 A.D. the Roman emperor Titus, destroys the second temple and murders millions of Israel’s inhabitants and 100,000 taken captive to Rome, those taken captive to Rome are used as sport in the arena, and others served as slaves. Many others from Jerusalem fled the country, going to Europe, Africa, and other parts of the world.

…..1095 A.D. Crusades, started by the church in Europe, the main goal to kick the moors out of Jerusalem, any crusaders were anti-Semitic, during this time, 40% of Europe’s Jew’s were destroyed, one important event happened in Mainz, Germany. There were 700 Jews living in that city at that time. They sought refuge in a large church to be protected from the crusading murderers. The Bishop at that time was kind and accepted to hide the Jews in the church. The Jews had given the Bishop all their valuables in exchange. To no avail. The Crusaders entered Mainz, discovered their hiding place, murdered all of them including the Bishop. Some say that the Jews there committed suicide rather than falling into the hands of the crusaders.

…..1478 The start of the Spanish Inquisition by Pope Nicolas, many Jews had to renounce their faith and accept Christianity, if not, they would be tortured and killed. This, of course, is not “real Christianity” rather “Pseudo or false Christianity. Those who were genuine/real believers and followers of Jesus would never do such atrocities against God’s anointed people.

…..1492 The expulsion of the Jews from Spain on the 9th of Av. Many went to England and to other countries in Europe, later on, many came to the Americas and settled in Mexico, Central, and South America. By that time, many families had lost their Jewish identity, but now, many are finding it again.

…..1635 “Pogroms” or persecutions against the Jewish people starts in Poland

…..1939 The “holocaust” or “Shoah” begins in Nazi Germany. Result? We all know, 6,000,000 Jewish people were killed by forced labor, starvation, and just “shot or gassed” in the concentration camps, just for being Jews.

…..1978 11 Palestinians land in a small Kibbutz in Israel by sea. They hijacked a bus, killed the driver and drove towards Tel Aviv. On the way to Tel Aviv, they used weapons fire and threw hand grenades out the windows at people on the street, and the result was 38 Israelis killed.

…..2012 A rabbi in Rutherford, N.J. was at home during the night with his wife and 5 children. An Arab boy outside threw a Molotov bomb through the living room window to kill the family and burn down the synagogue that was part of the house. (Molotov bomb: a glass bottle filled with gasoline and a rag, the rag is lighted and the bottle is thrown).

During the time of Tisha B’Av many will sing this sad song;

“Look from the heavens and see, we have become an object of scorn and contempt among the nations. We are regarded as sheep to the slaughter, to be killed, beaten and destroyed. But despite this, we have not forgotten your name, we beg you not to forget us!”

…..We regard this time as a time of sadness and grief, but we must also remember this time as a time of survival, and a time to get out of “spiritual exile” It is a time to “return home to Abba” a time of “Teshuvah”. Our ancestors in ancient Israel committed spiritual adultery, going after pagan gods, went away from the ways of Torah, despite of the warnings of God, God looked down and warned our people, finally, the punishment ensued yet Elohim has not and will NEVER reject his people, the remnant that survived is now in the millions, in every nation of the world. It is time to return, return to G-d, return to the ways of his Torah, return to the “Living Torah”

It is customary to read the book of Lamentations on this day.

From my study

This is a list of secular events that happened on the 9th day of the Jewish month of Av to the Jews. All these are verifiable in the history books.
    •  The Jewish Commentary, the Mishna, records that the people believed the evil report of the spies and mourned all night in fear. They turned against Moses and the two faithful spies, Joshua and Caleb (the only two from Egypt that entered the Promised Land). (Ta'anit 29a says it happened on the 9 of Av, Numbers 14:1-10 just records the curse from the Lord and the revolt against Moses and not the date.) This event started their 40-year wandering in the desert.
    •  Destruction of the first temple, 29 July 587 BC (9 Av 3174), actually from seventh of Av to tenth because the fire continued.
    •  Destruction of the second temple, 4 Aug 70 AD (9 Av 3830), 60 exactly 656 years to the day since the destruction of the first
      temple.
    •  The Roman army plowed Jerusalem with salt in 25 July 71 AD (9 Av 3831)73
    •  The destruction of Simeon Bar Kochba's army in 5 Aug 135 AD (9 Av 3895) 74
    •  The First Crusade, declared by Pope Urban II, began when his preaching throughout France, in July 1095 (Av 4855), stirred
up the populace.75 This ignited violence against the Jews and some have deemed this as the first holocaust.76 Though this evil occurred, the number of Jews killed before the Crusades reaches Jerusalem are not recorded, but accounts added up can lead one to believe that the number could reach five to ten thousand.77
    •  Edward I of England expelled all of the Jews in 18 July 1290 AD (9 Av 5050)78
“Pressured by his barons, the Church and possibly his mother, he announced the expulsion of all the Jews. By November 1, approximately 4,000 had fled, mostly to France. The Jews had to pay their own passage. They were allowed to take movables (i.e. clothing). A number of Jews were robbed and cast overboard during the voyage by the ship captains. The Jews did not return to England until 165979. This was the first national expulsion of the Jews. (England was one of the only centralized and national monarchies of that time.)”80
o Speculation that this was the month of the spies going into the promised land and returning with an evil report.o Zedekiah was taken to Babylon
o Jeremiah had a run-in with a false prophet and Jeremiah said he, the false prophet, would die that year.
o Zechariah was told to keep the fasting of the 5th month.
  •  10 Av 5066 “1306 July 22, PHILIP THE FAIR (France) Expelled the Jews from his lands after arresting all of them (on the dayafter the 9th of Av) and confiscating their property. Most Jews went to the next Duchy. Gradually, they were allowed todrift back.”81
  •  Spain, by the Alhambra Decree82, expelled all of the Jews by 31 July 1492. On the 1 August 1492 AD, the day before 9th ofAv (9 Av 5252), the Jews who didn’t leave were being round up and forced into Catholicism.
  •  World War I is declared on the ninth of Av, 1 August 1914 (9 Av 5674)
  •  Russia mobilized for World War I and launched persecutions against the Jews in Eastern Russia three days before 9 Av 5674.
Of the population, 13% were Jewish and considered traitors and spies and were taken hostage in order to prevent spying.
Finally, in 1915 they were forced to leave Galicia, Austria, and banned Yiddish.102
  •  On 22 July 1942, the Germans began a systematic liquidation of the Ghetto, deporting Jews to extermination camps at the
rate of six to ten thousand per day. Deportation started on 8 Av. Over 64,000 Jews were transported to Treblinka in July.109By autumn there were only 40,000 Jews left in Warsaw. Just to top it off, 500 mental patients were killed on this day in Kobierzyn (Poland).110
  •  Warsaw Ghetto Cleansed - 9 Av 5703. By early 1943, the Jews refused to cooperate with the Germans and the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising began. Renewed attempts to start deportations were answered with reprisals.111
  •  From July 16 (8 Av 5754) through July 22, 1994, pieces of an object designated as Comet P/Shoemaker-Levy 9 collided with Jupiter. This is the first collision of two solar system bodies ever to be observed, and the effects of the comet impacts on Jupiter's atmosphere have been simply spectacular and beyond expectations. Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 consisted of at least 21 discernable fragments with diameters estimated at up to two kilometers. (9 Av 5754) 190 Signs in the heavens.
    Two events on a given day is 1 in 365 days. 3 events on the same day is 1 X 365 X 365 = 133,225
Hence, the odds on these fourteen events happening to the same people, the same country, over the centuries on the same day is 1 chance in 15.318 billion times a billion times a billion or:
    15,318,685,820,000,000,000,000,000,000!!!!!
    (365 raised to the 11th power = 1.53186582 x 10 to the 28th power.)
    A 1 in 20 is a notable event!!!!

I wonder if all that happened to Job happened on the 9th of Av, although it seems from reading his book that it happened over a few days....?
If all this stuff happened on this day alone imagine what its like following the Hebrew Calendar, you would not get out of bed that day like how some people think something bad is going to happen on Friday the thirteenth, people call it 'Black Friday'
