What does it mean to know him?

It is a big question, and certainly cannot be exhausted here - but it is a concept worth pursuing because Jesus in his John 17 prayer said this, ""Now, this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

Jesus made this prayer just minustes before he was to be taken by the soldiers. What do you think he meant by knowing Him?
 
Knowing Jesus is relationship.

Knowing Jesus is friendship.

Knowing Jesus is companionship.

Knowing Jesus is communication.

Knowing Jesus is BLESSING!

Knowing Jesus is a GIFT!

Knowing Jesus is LOVE!

For me, knowing him is about developing a personal relationship with him and being intimate with him. When you really know someone, you no longer have to ask what that person would do in a situation, because you have such an intimate knowledge of that person and their motivations that you already know what they would do. Knowing him, becomes having the heart, mind, thoughts, will, etc. of him. It means communing with him daily and at all times. There becomes a complete trust, because you know that the other's intentions for you are best.
