what is grace to you?

Grace is the undeserved loving kindness of God obtained for mankind through the obedience, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Apart from those things, mankind would be relating to God through a system of works.

(Joh 1:17) For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

(Tit 2:11) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
(Tit 2:12) Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
 
as usual unless the subject generates strife .a subject like grace goes about as far as one legged man in a race . appreciate the few who commented . people would rather haggle or signs gifts of the spirit that allegedly went out with the apostles . the Bible says strong meat belongs to them of age. about all i see is milk is the sign gifts

Hello forgiven;

Seasoned Christians ponder first, then receive the Word before posting. That is the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

Others would attempt to be the first on the block to post what is grace to you? which I find can lead to squabbling.

God has given me a Word to this topic. I want to post and join in, later today, after church. lol!

i understand what your saying ..when asked for the reason for the hope that lays with in you.. does it say ponder? its same way with Grace .what does it mean to you? favor blessing forgiveness the seed of grace is in us.
 
Grace to me means undeserved forgivenance, pure love, God's presence and the hope of eternal life because this is what Jesus suffered and died for and if we wear Christ's righteousness that Iis what The Father sees when He looks at us.

Hello forgiven;

Yes, I ponder. When in fellowship with my brothers and sisters whether we're studying or discussing, Love, forgiveness, mercy, compassion, grace, etc..we do use the expression ponder, about God and think of everything that is Him, carefully in our discussions.

When someone's intentions whether right or wrong makes a mistake and knows it, the grace of God in my heart is upon them.

When my church family who always expects me to be perfect and I expose my flaws, imperfections and mistakes, I am blessed by the grace of God in them that they give me.

When someone who I know curses God and remains in their sin and sudden circumstances causes them to hit rock bottom, the grace of God in my heart is upon them.

When Christ who knows me and the sins I've committed yet went to the cross for me, I am grateful for God's only Begotten Son who abounds His grace on me.

These are just a few of God's Unlimited Riches At Christ's Expense.

thank you as this was what i was wanting to see, what grace means to the individual . in forums subjects like this will end up doa there just is no interest in it.. this morning i preached on Grace a subject must needed in the Church today .this post has went as far as it could go. which was not very far
 
This is one of my favorite passages on grace…

Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV
[14] Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. [15] For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Grace has so much meaning, how can we encapsulate what grace truly means for a believer?

Some sing about it and say its amazing

I say it's Gods presence
If you've ever felt God's absence...then His presence makes all the difference.

How can I explain it. It's like your relationship with parents. If you don't have parents or have been abandoned or they are dead, you really do feel that absence but when they are just there. They mean everything. They give you everything. All because you were born. Even when you've not really done anything to deserve it or maybe you have been naughty, they still love and forgive you anyway.
 
G.....R....A....C....E.... is not only amazing unmerited favour from God but it is this to me.

G....Goodness with no harm directed toward.
R ......Righteousness that we could NEVER have.
A........Acceptance of who we are,what we've done.
C........Chance to change directions from sin.
E........Everlasting,Eternal worshipping before my Beloved!

its up to you all keep this post alive i will say this you can walk/fall from Grace but Grace will be there waiting for us to come back. the only way grace leaves us if we die with out Christ

james 4:6-8
