Tell me if this is in the wrong thread it is, if it is then I will move this thread. In our church our Pastor is preaching on the stages of maturity in Christianity. Infant, Child, Adolescent, Adult, then back to Child. What each of these stages mean is:
Infant: Questioning everything about Christianity. Yearns for answers regarding Christianity. His cry is "feed me!"
Child: Beginning to have a better understanding but his cry is "Help me, help me!"
Adolescent: Acting like a teenager in the faith. Having a good understanding. But his cry is "Show me! Show me!"
Adult: Having faith and a great knowledge of the faith and Bible. Being able to mentor Adolescents and beyond.
Child 2: Having the faith of a child. Being able to trust everything your parents are teaching you. As a child you are taught things from your parents pertaining to the Bible and you are a child, so you believe them easily. As you get older you're faith is decreased until you start getting closer with God. You begin to have doubts as an Adolescent. Being a child 2 is the highest stage you can get. It shows how much knowledge you have with God and it's almost like you have met him and talked with him physically because of how much trust you have put into him.
