Which service?

Which service?

A little boy was standing the foyer of a church looking at the memorial for all the members who had served in the army and died. The preacher noticed him standing there, looking at it in serious contemplation, and went to stand beside him. For a long time the pair just stood there looking at the names on the memorial.

After some time the boy finally looked up at the preacher and asked, "What is this for, Pastor?"

The preacher put his hand on the little boy's shoulder and said, "It's a memorial for all the men and women who have died in the service."

The little boy was quiet again, obviously thinking hard over what the preacher had just said. Then, after a minute or so, he looked back up at the preacher and quietly, almost fearfully, asked, "Which service was it: the 9:00 or the 11:00?"
