Why Create?

One of the most difficult aspects about God's person, nature and position, the one thing about God that most people have the largest problems with is His Sovereignty. LTLG has made me think more deeply on this particular item, even though this was not his intent. Dare any of us look deeply enough into our own motives, feelings, thoughts, prejudices, pride and all the other components that comprise our current makeup, and we will encounter various points along our life journey where we found ourselves wondering why God did things this way and not that way.

When those doubts dominate, then we have a problem on our hands with our being splattered with things that are not easily picked off and cast aside, but when we keep those doubts in check, we then realize what a beautiful thing is the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. He wants not only a people to love and from whom to be loved, but also to be individuals with unique qualities that will not only multiply in a quantitative manner, but also grow in perfection throughout the endless expanse of eternity.

The verses I quoted earlier already dealt with the love aspect behind the Lord's creation of mankind. The losses through non-repentant sins is on the shoulders of all those individuals who intentionally made a choice to not receive the free gift of atonement for their sins.

This casts into the light of stark contrast the fact that those who ask why a loving God would allow anyone to perish in Hell, that they are actually asking the wrong question.

The right question they should be asking is why anyone would intentionally reject such a loving God, and thus choose separation from Him in the time allotted to them for their acceptance, given that all are without excuse.

Thanks, LTLG. This was some good discussions.

Wow, great imagery.
