Why every Christian has to stand before Judgement

Like the Jews when they were waiting for the Messiah, Christians have their own ideas of what will happen before Jesus comes, including who will be judged and when. People as a given, tend to look to self as their first priority and see what they want to see, usually for their own liking rather than what the scripture shows them. When Christ first came, many of the Jews wanted a Messiah to save them from the Romans and other nearby problems, not tell them about sin and repenting. They didn't want to give up their sins of pride, ambitions, or power, wealth and pleasures, or part with sin they cherished and the bondage of iniquity. They wanted a what they thought they deserved as the 'chosen' and instant gratification that didnt make them give up any sin, indulgence of self pleasure or lust, so to submit themselves to the divine was not what they wanted.

When the Messiah came, they wanted no atoner for sins, they wanted a conquering king and as many Christians today, in no way surrender their lives to Christ and part with their pet sins. That is a hard message especially in these last days for Christians, and then to be judged, that really is devastating, they want a free ride to heaven, no judgement. So we will be judged? Lets take a look at whats is Gods Word...

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Daniel 7:9-10
9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

Romans 14:10
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Romans 14:12
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

So everyone including those who have done good, or those who have done bad, will be before the judgement seat and the scriptures even tells us who it begins with..

1 Peter 4:17
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Now the reason it begins with the 'house of God' is that at the Second Coming the saints will be separated from the wicked..
Matthew 25:31-34
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Daniel 7:22
Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

And who this is..
John 5:22
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

And nothing will be kept secret from Him...
Romans 2:16
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Some say it's only the wicked that are judged, but the Bible clearly indicts that all will appear before the judgment seat of Christ, those who truly believe will be judged worthy by the blood of the Lamb. others will receive the judgment of condemnation.

Those to be Judged at Bhema Seat of Jesus are already saved, salvation done deal, as they are to give an account for all words and deeds done since saved in order to see if are to be eternally rewarded, but NEVER to lose salvation

With all due respect to you my friend, but YOU are 100% wrong!

Yes in that all believers will appear at the Judgment Seat of Christ. NO in that they will be judged for their sins.

Every person at the Judgment Seat Of Christ will be born again believers! Their sins have already been judged and paid for by the blood of God, Jesus the Christ! NO ONE at the Judgement Seat of Christ will receive any condemnation what so ever!

The Judgment of believers’ works, often referred to as the “judgment seat of Christ” or and the Bema Seat Judgment" found in 2 Corinthians 5:10. At this judgment, All born again Christians will receive degrees of reward for their works or service to God.

The wicked, the unsaved lost of all ages will be judged later, actually after the 1000 year rule of Christ, and after the 2nd Resurrection.

That view sounds much like the Sda Investigative Judgement view , and that would be against the clear teaching of Pauline Justification

That sounds like the Muslim judgment where Allah measures a person's good and bad deeds to determine whether heaven or hell is merited. If good deeds outweigh bad deeds, it's heaven, but if bad deeds outweigh good deeds, then it's hell.

I thought YHWH God was better than Allah.

Works like taking care of the poor and sick?
Yes.

The rewards/Crowns however are highlited and then under those are the works we can do.

The Crown of life.
Victors Crown.
Crown of Rejoicing.
Crown of Righteousness.
Crown of Glory.

I have seen it said here a couple of times here recently and I want to make sure that everyone understands that The judgment seat of Christ does not determine our salvation.

That matter was settled by Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf and our faith in Him. All our sins are forgiven, and there is “no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” according to Romans 8:1.

Jesus said in John 5:24.........
“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life”.

So, believers are secure in Christ, but they still must appear before the judgment seat of Christ or the Bema Seat! It will be a time of examination and a time of reward. Jesus will inspect our works. What did we do with the resources God gave us? How faithful were we? Were we yielded to the Spirit, seeking to honor Christ and further His work in the world? If so, we will have reward, if not we will suffer loss but NOT our salvation.

All believers have a room in the Father's house. Some are three bedroom en-suite with balcony and others are broom closets.

Sounds a lot like the Sda Investigative Judgement, as God there would be judging us to see if we have obeyed Him well enough to merit salvation, and that would be totally against Pauline Justification

I am so thankful that when I appear before Jesus, when he does this was your life, not being broadcasted out to everyone

That is correct!

Just as there are "degrees" of punishment in the Lake of Fire, there will be "degrees" of happiness in heaven.

The bottom line however is that if we receive a broom closet, it will be so much better than what we have here now that there will be no complaining.

Hobie......you are posting 7th Day Adventist teachings of an "Investigative Judgment".

It is the core of the 7 DA doctrine.

This teaching was a development over time as a response to the Great Disappointment of 1843 and 44 which claimed that Jesus was returning October 22, 1844 and when He did not return, the "Millerites" at that time came up with this goofy explanation.

My theory on this is that when we are raised gloried, God "fixes" our minds so that we are able to just enjoy what we are entitled to, and will not even be aware of missing out! Like we all will see and hear the angelic choir, but some can hear all the voices at once, while others just focus on one voice, but not even aware what we are missing out on

Even of the Sda greatest theologians wrote 900 page book denouncing that Ellen White doctrine, and ended up losing his teaching position. Desmond Ford stayed in Sda, even supported Ellen White still, but totally demolished that Investigative Judgement teaching of hers.

That is because at death or the Rapture we will receive glorified bodies and have the mind of Christ!
