Would these groups be holding to "another Gospel?"

That is correct!

I have actually been in an Indenendant Baptist Church for a revival where the Preacher said............
"A man can not be saved with out hearing the Word of God, and that word can ONLY BE FOUND IN A KING JAMES BIBLE"!
that is man made theology i been using kjv since i got saved.. i preach from kjv bible . but no where in the Bible does it say thus saith king james is the only bible to use.. here is my point agree disagree makes me no nevermind... a person can be saved using a different version Bible.

i have 2 nephews who preach both use NIV . their dad uses kjv who is a pastor.. 1 nephew pastors a church.. has had several saved. preaching from NIV.. **** note me personally i have no use for the NIV.. i know another young man who preaches on campus at a college ... he uses the english standard version.. he has seen souls saved another preacher i know uses the Christian standard bible

i have a good friend who is pastor his church voted to use kjv only . i also realize that there are denoms in the baptist circle ..that feels they are the supreme authority in doctrine.... i have heard the discussion that kjv has errors the independent baptist ahs some good preachers... i have a buddy in the ib they have camp meeting he sends me recording of the preaching.. but just cause they say does not make them the authority or any other denom...

i know i most likely kicked over the golden cow of religion . i would say come judgment day (bema ) were all going find out areas we was wrong wood hay stubble

And that was my point.

Now the facts are different. The ESV and RSV are more literal and go back to the original languages.
The KJV uses the Textus Receptus instead of going to the original languages.

I am not taking sides, only observation of facts.

For the KJV, (My Opinion only) Many readers consider this a very difficult translation to read, as it uses archaic language. Then there are those who prefer this, because it does sound very poetic and it was what their parents used so it must be the best.
I would see both Nas and Nkjv as being updated translations to Kjv, and would also say that if one wants to use Kjv as primary version, no problem, but when they want to force all to use only it now, big problem

Amd tyhe TR is just another greek text, same way the Critical and Majority greek texts are

The problem is not that one prefers to use Kjv only, but when they insist all must use it as their Bible version only

I expect there are real believers in every group but the light has not to this point struck their path. I expect you would agree that as the first church passed away and went into the 'ground' things rose up and the church natural went with it because 'they said' this is the way. But when God did a work in their day, as in Luther's day the elect caught it and recieved it whereas the rest went right on ahead with what the current trend was. And so it always is, the elect catch what God is doing while the masses just keep on with what is current. It was true in Jesus' day, His ministry did not fit the current trend so only the elect could receive it. In all these different churches, they may be the thief on the cross but just let the light strike the heart one time a the seed will come to life.

What do you mean by the elect?
God would that all should be saved but by fore knowledge he knows who will and who will not recieve him. He said Jacob i have loved and Esau I hate. It also says that it is not he that willeth or runneth but to whom God shows mercy. Many will come in that day and say Lord we did such and such in your name and He will
say 'I never knew you...' So who are the elect? Only God knows. We as individuals have to insure that we are not serving a God of our imagination but that we are in fact in the Word.
More could be said as in the 'Ten Virgins' but that is another discussion.

Depends if one holds to Calvinist theology, which I do, or Arminian theology regrading Sotierology. Easy way to view the elect are all of the redeemed period
Okay, that's what I assumed but I wanted to make sure. Thanks.

I'm a Calvinist as long as it is in the Word I'm a Catholic as long as it is in the Word I'm a Baptist (where I spent 4.5 years in training) as long as it is in the Word. I want to be careful not to tie myself to any intellectual understanding because that won't cut it, the intellect stays here only the Word goes up.
My prayer is for the Lord to lead me. I believe it takes a revelation to fall in love with the Lord and there is no high aspiration than that. If I can truly say 'Thy will be done no matter what' I'll have arrived at first base.

So agree with you ... when Jesus told his disciples to go out and preach the Gospel, there was no bible as such, and certainly not the KJV : )

It is interesting to hear the prayers made though in a KJVO church, as you would think that Shakespeare himself was leading their prayers to the Lord, as they will speak as if he had written their prayers

And to the best of my knowledge, there was never a person anywhere in the Bible that was saved by "Hearing the word of God" (Romans 1-:17) .........from a KJV Bible.

I would ask that if I am wrong, please

Been there many times!

Some with a West Virginia accent trying to pray in Old English is an experience!
