Would these groups be holding to "another Gospel?"

no not ok my entire point is i cant say on some of the doctrines it will send one to hell.. i dont agree with apostolic teaching of salvation or much anything else. how can anyone say it will send you to hell.. now J.W mormons i wouldn't bank very much on it ... catholic is questionable but praying to mary gets you no where
Nice to know I've been condemned to hell.
Also, I wish people would.stop saying we promote a false / gospel of works. We believe in salvation according to Ephesians 2: 8-9.
Justification isnt used in the legal sense but is understood as entering a covenant relationship with God the Father centered in union with Christ ... Romans 6: 1-6.
Romans 5:1-2
By God's mercy we are saved and justified, He initiates a new covenant with us.
And yes we believe in baptism for the remission of sins... We were baptized unto His death...and Jesus died to take away our sins.
There are other traditions and practices that people can't understand and I get it... But if we can't trust the people who knew the people who knew Jesus... we have much to reconcile.

Otherwise, the Scriptures you provide are solid and agree with what I blue-lighted.

I was giving a cheeky response to YeshuaFan who was responding to BibleLover about Catholics and Orthodox being hell bound for believing in a "false gospel of works", which is a false accusation, as I stated above.
It seems that many western (protestant, reform, evangelical) Christians get super weird about Catholics , Orthodox (Coptics and Eastern) being considered as real Christians (saved or unsaved) by holding them to the evangelical standard.
Dont do us any favors... if you dont think we are Christians, go all in. Who can be saved under a false gospel?

According to the Catholic church.... I have been summoned to hell for walking away from this institution.... so it seems to work both ways.
One of the problems ( and I have MANY )... I have with the Catholic church is that she has made tradition and repetition into the sacraments and assigned FALSE power to these sacraments. The Catholic church in my estimation is a CULT.
What is happening behind closed doors is NOT a religion but rather a hidden super power that controls way more in the world than we can see.... and it is very EVIL. That is my opinion about the Catholic church.
I think the 99 thesis that was placed on the door of the church established a WALKING away from unnecessary and false sacraments.... with the declaration that it is the BIBLE alone that is qualified to teach us and make us HOLY.
As for your salvation.... ANYONE who believes that JESUS is GOD... and that his BLOOD paid for our sins... once and for all.... IS SAVED.

It is my opinion that Revelation 17:1-7 is describing the Catholic Church. I am not certain exactly what this entails... and so I am not able to answer your question... nor would I choose to describe what I have observed and believe.
What is happening behind closed doors ( in my opinion ) is EVERY EVIL under the sun disguised as WHAT it is NOT.

THERE ARE TEACHINGS IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THAT THROW UP red flag sorry bout caps didnt realize they was on... i have family that are catholic . they was raised catholic all the way...one cousin married a Mormon and is no longer in the catholic church... one of my biggest concerns in catholic teaching is purgatory . which is not in the scriptures there is no praying anyone out of hell into heaven .. we are either saved or Lost, when we die .
my uncle was raised in a baptist Church he married a catholic girl aunt dorris was a wonderful person .at some point and time she had health issues.. to my understanding she felt she was being punished for a marriage out side the catholic church .. ( thats not scripture either ) my uncle later joined the catholic church ..while i dont fully understand all the catholic church .. I nor any other person has the authority to say who goes to Hell. my cousin are very good people ,,, butt they feeel its ok to party hardy . there is another red flag..
know then to be honest with you.. ( there are baptist that condemns drinking and being drunk.) ( how ever they teach if saved and you do that ..you will still make heaven your home ) so its in every denom my last read flag i see is the pope yes the pope being called holy father ive seen people bow down and kiss his ring . people treat him like God he is flesh and blood like both of us....
many people are catholics, baptist .pentecostals , methodist be cause they was raised that way... none of the listed being a member of will get one to heaven... we have to come through Christ not mary not any other human praying to mary gets a person no place.. she is not the advocate . that role belongs to Jesus as per intercessory of our prayers that belongs to the Holy spirit
Brother, it is really not that hard. I do not desire to argue in any way.
However, Any teaching that takes away from the Bible that says the gospel is the only way of salvation is heretical, false and a lie.
When the JW'S, Mormons, & 7 Day Advatists or anyone else teaches that Jesus IS NOT the Christ but is Michael the Archangel, we are called by God to "mark" those people and expose them as the Bible says the one and only way to heaven is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in John 14:6.
Anyone who teaches that Mary is the Co-Redeamer of humanity is teaching a heretical lie.
Today, Within the Catholic church there is a drive to define a new Marian dogma in which Catholics, as a matter of faith, would be obliged to accept these three doctrines: ......
(1) Mary participates in redemption with Jesus Christ,
(2) grace is granted by Jesus only through the intercession of Mary, and
(3) all prayers from the faithful must flow through Mary, who brings them to the attention of her Son.
This movement would, in practice, redefine the Trinity as a kind of Quartet.
Again, please understand that I am only dialoging and not arguing in any way. I agree that we must be v=careful but NOT when we stand on the Word od God.

Stand firm with your personal convictions and enjoy your relationship with Christ. We are blessed by your fellowship here at CFS. The Friendly Christian Forums has come a long way and is enjoying a good season in the topics and discussions.
There will always be a few disagreements but overall our members have been more comfortable expressing their views, opinions, defining the standards of our growing knowledge in the Word of God.
For me, at the end of the day it's all about growing as a disciple.

once again had you read my post to coca i used the term red flags which means warning .. i am by far soft spoken on the issues i was in a baptist church heard a young man say he was saved he couldnt die and go to hell if he wanted // my preference of old time preacher he put the truth out is adrian rogers i also am a big fan of jay vernon mcgee .i listen to his teaching every day going to work

God Himself told us the answer in John 3:18 where He explains in the simplest terms who will go to heaven and who will go to hell: “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
In reality, it is not even God who sends anyone to hell. Everyone in hell today is there because that choose to be there.
So, those who go to hell are specifically those who do not believe in Jesus for the remission of their sins. To “believe” goes beyond a mental recognition of the truth or to mouth a responce. To believe in Christ for salvation requires a transfer of allegiance. We stop worshiping ourselves, we forsake our sin, and we begin to worship God with our heart, soul, mind, and strength and that can be seen in Matt. 22:36-37 & Mark 12:30.
in todays world one dont even have to change some months back i had a young man come to me after service telling how where he needed forgiveness .. i instructed him to the altar. he aske d for forgiveness last about 3 weeks . stayed with his girl friend living together vanished most likely that seed went anywhere but the good ground
