Yesterday is gone .
I was just thinking ( sometimes I do that ) about the Israelites when they were in the desert and God told them to collect " manna " and it was only good for one day . Some of course were disobedient and tried to collect for the next day but found that it stunk and had maggots.
Aren't we the same way ? We try to save for to morrow when God tells us His supply is for today . We think the Israelties were grumblers and complainers but we do the same .
We need to think that yesterday's supply is inadequate for today . That is the reason I need to pray thanking God for a new fresh supply or resources He has for me for today .Thanking Him for what ever He did for me and gave to me yesterday.
But this is a new day and we need something new and fresh for the present.
Lamentations 3:22-24
22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. 24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him."
