YOU TURN

What do you do when you find that you have made a bad decision? What can you do when you realize that you have stepped out of the will of God? What is the solution when you understand that if you continue in the way that you are going; if you continue to do what you are doing; if you continue in the direction you are headed, you will fail, fall down and fall short? You turn.

There is no reason for us to continue in a way that leads to destruction; no need to continue to move in a direction that is headed nowhere. It makes no sense to see that you are with the wrong people; at the wrong time; going the wrong way; doing the wrong thing……and then you just continue in that way. What can you do about it? You turn.

Today would be a great day to examine ourselves. There are many times when it is a just a matter of patience and waiting for God to move in situations. Then there are times when nothing is moving and nothing is changing, because you have stepped out of the center of God’s will. You can find yourself in His permissive will, without being in His perfect will. You can find that although you may not be in sin, you are not in His will. What do you do? You turn.

Don’t be so prideful; so rebellious; so disobedient and so stubborn, that you can’t turn around when you find that you are not where you need to be. God’s blessings are for those who are in His WILL. Turn!

God’s Word is all about turning around… That’s how we give our lives to Christ; how we repent and turn from sin. Let’s turn around and get in God’s will, so that we can go through the city of Detroit, and the surrounding areas, to our young people; to the unsaved people; to the hurting people? When people have been given no way, they stray anyway; and when they figure out that it is the wrong way, they want to get out, but they don’t know THE WAY. It has to start with us. Will you turn?

Jonah was instructed by God, to go to Nineveh to warn the people of their sins, and coming destruction. Jonah decided he didn’t want to go, so he went in the opposite direction. He stepped out of the will of God. He was going the wrong way and he knew it. God caused a storm, and He had Jonah swallowed up in a great fish. God will let us know when we need to turn around. We have a chance to make a u-turn, but it won’t happen, until you turn.

Don’t worry about what others will say or what others will think. Don’t worry, just turn. How do you know if you are going the right way? God’s word says, “acknowledge Him in all thy ways and He shall direct thy paths.”
God always encourages us to come back…. Will you turn?
