The Law Of Holiness

In the emergence of creation, iniquity and sin were not present. However, the Law of Holiness has always prevailed. There was not a need for any “…thou shalt’s…”, nor a need for any “…thou shalt not’s…”. Iniquity and sin were not present because they simply did not exist! Why? Because of the Law of Holiness! The Law of Holiness, simply defined, is this: “Nothing contrary to holiness can stand in its presence.”

Because God’s Holiness filled eternity, no other laws or commandments were needed. Holiness does not permit anything contrary to itself to be in its presence: neither in heaven, nor here on earth. It would not be far-fetched to believe that the main dynamic in which God preserves his integrity, is Holiness!

“You were perfect in all your ways, until iniquity was found in you.” Lucifer (now satan) could not be judged guilty against any law, except by the Law of Holiness. Therefore, he was cast out from God’s presence (God’s Holiness) until he was proved and judged guilty of murdering a just man: Christ Jesus.

"And for their sakes I sanctify myself , that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word...".

The Lord Jesus kept himself holy for us. Why? That the truth might be effectual in him, so that he might be raised from the dead! For without the resurrection, our faith would, indeed, be vain. Should we not keep ourselves holy for those who will believe the preaching of the gospel?

Mr. Villa, this is a topic that often separates into groups those who believe. I believe in the "true" holiness of walking in the Spirit. I believe there is also a false holiness, much as the religious class of the Lords day practiced. The outward appearance, the white-wash of religion. True "holiness" is when the inside of the cup is clean and when it is clean the outside will be ruled by the cleanness of that which is inside.

These scriptures are not directed towards anyone but are very important to understanding "true" holiness.

Mt 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Beloved, I will always refer only to true Holiness, unless stated otherwise: just as the Jews went about to establish their own righteousness, the Gentile has also fallen into the same trap. There is nothing that befell the Jews that will not befall to Gentiles: and there is no salvation offered to the Jews (since the Day of Pentecost), that is not offered to the Gentiles...and we (who truly have believed and received the Gospel) walk no more as Gentiles, but as Jews.

I am glad that you understand that holiness is first an inward work that brings outward change in a believers life, but many do not. Many are teaching others that outward appearance is holiness, and many are confused and lead away from the simplicity of the holiness prescribed in the New Testament.

Ac 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

True holiness is perfect love. God is love, God is truth, God is light. Perfect holiness is God and we are holy by being in God. It is not a set of actions, but the Spirit of God being the truth in us. In the Spirit of God our actions are no longer acts but true life from God being created through us.

Did I write that a set of actions produces holiness; and not pointed out, rather, that Holiness will produce a set of actions? One of those actions is the inability to enter into God's presence. How is that? Well, the natural laws produce desires in man that are not conducive to God's will; however, Holiness operating in man leads him to perfection: "...to be conformed to the image of His son...". The proof of this matter is that satan was cast out of God's presence.

Do you believe that sin can stand in the presence of Holiness? Sinful man cannot stand in God's presence because of Holiness; but the Church can, and will. She (the Church) has full access to God: having received the Holy Spirit, not by faith, but through faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Nevertheless, a person will believe what is more convenient.

Mr. Villa, sin cannot stand in the presence of a Holy God, that is why we are hidden "In Christ" and we may always come to the Throne of God, which is the throne of grace.

Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Heb 10:19 ¶ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

No man can stand before God, based upon there own holiness. but "in Christ" we who believe may come boldly to His Throne.

Jesus did not keep himself holy for us. Jesus would have been holy whether we existed or not. God is holy.

Can anyone say to where Lucifer and the third of the "fallen angels" were cast?

I am sorry because I should have explained myself more clearly. Jesus sanctified himself. We do not sanctify ourselves, but God sanctifies us. Jesus was holy so he could sanctify himself and we are made Holy only because we are in him.

I don't mean to be ignoring your questions.
7" And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him" (Revelations 12:7-12)

Are you asking how believers will no longer sin in heaven, because on earth they sin even though they are in Christ) since we know that there can't be any sin in heaven?

mitspa: "Sin cannot stand in the presence of God"
CMV: Is sin equal, less, or worse than iniquity? If equal or less than iniquity, then iniquity also can not stand in God's presence; perhaps only if sin is worse that iniquity could iniquity stand in God's presence.
So, does that mean that Adam's sin was greater than Lucifer's iniquity?
CMV: What is worse: when we sin prior to redemption; or when we commit iniquity after we are saved?

Olivia: "Jesus sanctified himself...is holy...we are made holy..."
CMV: Is a Christian made holy because of free will, and does a Christian lose his free will after redemption?
Seems that Jesus could sanctify himself because he was holy; so, can the Christian not sanctify himself after being made holy?
Perhaps we are called to [exercise our free will] and sanctify ourselves so others may be saved. Of course, we can not do so without the leading of the Holy Spirit.

My friend, we (believers) are not in the flesh and are not judged according to Adam but according to Christ.

Ro 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

We must reason within the scriptures. And if anyone claims they understand the fall of Lucifer, or exactly how God dealt with his rebellion? I would question the source of their info, we have some understanding from the scriptures, but it is limited. Gods purpose for creation, was for man. satan, was to serve the creation (in my understanding)
