To Jeff: I Thought This Was A ''friendly'' Christian Forum...?

i was told you are the owner of this site and that is the reason i am addressing you specifically in this post.

After witnessing the many assaults you allow in your ''friendly Christian forum'' i see that it is misleading,
and when i joined i actually thought this was a ''Christian'' forum... wow... hence i wold like to thank you ALL for your clarification and to those who have commented on me as if i was some alien from outer of space... yet, you call yourselves ''Christians''... And i say ALL meaning those who have nothing better to do in a 'Christian' forum than to attack another Christian because in your mind they do not conform to your belief and your interpretation of what our Lord preached and gave all of us the gift of His gospel ...

There is more love and adoration of our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ in my small church i attend and pray than most of you in this forum... though i have sensed some truly beautiful souls and hearts, yet, you and you know who you all are, on one hand you bless and with the next breath you curse. i have been on Catholic forums and NEVER do they do to another Christian what you do here... on MySpace i had a Christian forum and we never crucified another Christian. We edified and with love spoke to each other, no matter what church, denomination, or non-denomination they were. That is what a true Christian forum is and not one where you allow those of your mindset to revel in the trampling on of another belief and Christian brethren. Discuss, yes of course... clarification and speaking of scripture, of course, but most of all it should always be EDIFICATION not CASTIGATION...

Maybe Jeff, since yo are the owner of this forum, you should also have a statement on your site, a warning statement against anyone who is not of yours and most of those in this forum's mindset and belief... so i call on you Jeff, as Michael, and many others, have made it clear that this is not a Catholic site, but what i didn't know when i joined is that amongst Christians there is prejudice, in my church we don't look down on another, we only speak of the love our Lord has for all of us.

Maybe, Jeff, together with the help of Michael or David or Mario or Ricko or anyone one else whom you esteem, you should include on your website heading the following:
Warning: Christians who are Catholics, Mormons, JW, (of course any other you ALL do not agree with) do not even think of joining.

Dear God, how will you defend yourselves when you come face to face with Christ...? If i was in a Muslim forum i, and other Catholics would probably get better treatment than you 'Christians' are doing here, and i am not the only Catholic that feels this way in this 'Christian' forum, and it is disappointing that we are not accepted as brethren Christian, this is not what our Lord wanted and preached, and definitely not what i expected to find when i joined.

John 16:2 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John 16&version=KJ21

2 They shall put you out of the synagogues; yea, the time cometh that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

Matthew 5:22 (KJV) | In Context | Whole Chapter

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

The Judgment of the Nations.

Matthew 25: 31When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne,

32 and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me,
36naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’
37Then the righteous will answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
38When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?
39When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’
40 And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’
41Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
42For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
43a stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.’
44 Then they will answer and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison, and not minister to your needs?’
45He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’ l And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Amen...

Hi RosaVera, thank you for being really honest here. To maintain friendliness in a forum like this in reality is far more difficult than it is if it were in a Church or on Facebook where we don't hide behind a username. The other issue is that we are understaffed and most of us have other things that are more important than being here to monitor discussions. Often, we don't see most of what happens here unless they get reported to us (I accidently bumped into this thread). That is why I stress that members should actively report posts. I even promote the site as a 'Friendly Christian Forum' not only for new comers but as a reminder to existing members.

Secondly, I do not believe in denominations. Whether you are a Muslim or Hindu as labelled by others but if you believe in Christ as your Savior and Lord then you are a son or daughter of God. Sometimes we even allow non-believers to participate only because we want them to learn the truth. So there will never be a disclaimer for people who look like their not welcome here. Personally I welcome all. I give prime importance to sharing the Gospel and helping members learn the Truth by themselves via this website even more than providing a comfy place for believers. All of that can only happen if we don't fight with each over our beliefs.

@RosaVera, I agree with you that we need to maintain peace and friendliness here and I'm struggling to get that message across. If everybody would co-operate, things would have been much better for us as members and easier for us as moderators. We wouldn't have to ban anyone anymore. This is something most Christian forums are struggling with. Rules are their only as guidelines.

My advise for anyone thinking they are being attacked here is to immediately hit the report button and also totally ignore the person who is attacking you. If things are serious, we will warn or ban members as we decide.

I am going to admit it @RosaVera when I came to this forum, I started all the hate and discontent around here. But lately I have been working on that by not joining threads I know are going to create fights. And I'm not creating any threads about what I plan to do/not do.

Sorry you are being deceived by the purpose of this forum. I say, let's get back to being friendly.

Rosa, I'll be kind but I'm going to speak with love as Christ spoke with love....with the authority of that which was once and for all delivered to the saints. Not the "dead" saints of Catholicism but the true saints of the church of GOD.

I just happen to read the bible that mentioned about authority…. and am currently pondering on it ...

.... so a question if you don't mind: can you explain further what you meant by "with the authority"

Rosa Vera, I'm sorry if someone has been rude to you, I know you and I have had some nice exchanges! I have to say tho, Mormons and JWs are not Christians. Neither believe in the trinity or hell. Also, Mormons do not believe Jesus is God.

They would be welcome to post but of course we are going to speak truth from a biblical pow....we are called to. But as you said--- it should be done in love :)

I know of some very fine Christians who were here before me, and are no longer posting because of this anti-Catholic critical spirit that is alive here ..

divide and conquer is a good strategy and exactly what Jesus prayed for His children not to be ..

This is and has been a problem here and at other forums I have been on.

There are some who would place Catholic in with other cults and proceed to attack them. I just deleted some threads which were direct attacks on Catholics and will continue to do so as I find them. If the person who started the thread persists, they will be banned.

Jeff laid out our policy here, but the Staff can't be everywhere. If you see a problem post or thread, help us by hitting the Report button which will bring it to our attention. That would go a long way to helping us remove any offensive posts.

that you are strong in keeping this wonderful forum pleasing and to Him and edifying to your members ..

God Bless you ..

It's hard to make every forum a friendly forum. They're going to have people(me) that come in and stir the pot and make things uneasy for others. But then people(me) are trying to not post things that start fights. I know, I know. Stop talking like this, and about this. I will, NOW...

Thank you Jeff... i appreciate your words in this heartfelt response. Let's let love be the main purpose, and with love edify and correct...

Thank you for understanding ... i truly like this forum and i have sensed here some wonderful followers of Christ ...

i know Allie and do understand you, there is always room for edification and opening eyes and ears, our Lord Jesus did this with love and grace and that is what we all can do...

Let us all heal and be lovers of our Lord Jesus the Christ , i am at peace with all and will with love and grace be a sister in Christ to all... maybe this will open eyes, of course we will differ as all the Apostles differed one from the other... we are human, and as human we have a great heart inside of us that loves and i intend to focus on the love and move on and edify and learn and differ at times, but most of all i want to delve into the depth of our Lord's message, and to grow in the knowledge of all that is written and what was recorded of the One we all love and glorify, our Lord and Saviour , and follow the path with all toward the ultimate reward, our eternal time with Him... <><

But don't you think that would be kind of judgmental? Why not just accept the person for the religion they choose to follow? Why not just let them be, I personally think that everyone is entitled to worship how they please, I'm not one to push my believes on anyone. The way I see it is once you worship god, how you worship or how you wish to see god, it's an individual choice. There's only one god and religion is men made anyway. So why not just allow people to be who they are, accept them as they come, answer questions they might have and leave the rest to god.

Because we are called to be disciples and spread the truth. There isn't many paths to God. Jesus is the only way, and that is why, out of Love, we witness. Some on here, like myself, are a bit more harsh in their love. I think that is just the Alpha male in us :). The disciples didn't go tip toeing around, they preached the gospel and told others their religion was wrong. I think if some get offended here then maybe we made them think and pride is getting in the way. Just my thoughts.

Though, I am not Catholic - some of the best people I have known, and am best friends with, are. I'm sorry if people have been "attacking" and rude but I have to say that it is not the "normal" atmosphere here (but what do I know? I mostly stay in bible studies). There are always going to be some posters who seem to want to show their egos more than their good christian side but ignore or call them on it. Usually they settle down. We all seem to come here thinking we know everything - I know I did. Pride. But as soon as I lost this, I began to learn wonderful things. So I hope you will have some patience.

Hmm...I wouldn't say I tip toe, I'm speaking for me, I speak openly about god but I would never try to tell anyone how to worship or that their religion is wrong. It's their choice and if they become curious about god from hearing me speak of him than I'll be more than glad to share more with them.

Because it is only by Jesus Christ that we are saved. Everyone is entitled to believe whatever they want. But the Bible is clear on how to be forgiven for sins and how to be saved. We care about people who are Decieved.

I agree that we should accept them as they come and answer any questions and absolutely leave the rest to God!

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is God?
