What Is God?

Appears outside of tubby we picked up a couple more unsaved who could care less about what is true.

Should be some one at a time rule for those who have not to hear.

I think workmx have vertical relationship problem, and he is lashing out his emotions on horizontal relationship…

In simple terms: he seems to be angry with God, and he is lashing out his feelings with his fellowman…

I think we just need to say goodbye to him as we already have a well known local unbeliever. (tubby) A Town should not have more than one town drunk, right?

I agree with Workmx needs to go. He needs to stop attacking people's belief system. I don't like being attacked about my own personal belief system. I am sure Christians don't like other people who attack their belief system either. And just because I disagree with your believe system, doesn't mean I am looking down on you. I think your life style is really good and I hope you all continue to live the lifestyle that you want to live.

Your system is of your father the devil,. Looking down on me or what you and your father thinks does not matter. You have proven your not here to learn or get light. Your worldly ideas are of your father whom you will suffer with if you don't wake up.

It's one thing to come in and be looking for help and light, it's other to bring your fathers message in with no wisdom or any cry out to the one that created you.

but I am not attacking other people's belief system. If anything, I encourage people to choose what they believe in. I am here to learn.

"1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

I always applied that to my life. and I want to learn more about the bible. and I am sorry that I argued in the past.

I am sorry, please have patience with me. I am here to learn. I am sincerely interested in what the bible have to say about the world, and stuff.

Maybe you should have a separate forum for atheists/agnostics so you can answer any questions we might have?

Why take it as a personal attack when people ask you questions for which you have the answers for?

Christian take that as a personal attack because they ask not to learn, but to argue. If that's why they ask, they shouldn't ask just to get other people to agree with them.

this is an example of an attack

If an atheist ask "How do souls exist?"
A christian can answer "Because god is loving and care for all his creation"
Atheist: "That's stupid, god cannot be loving" (this goes against the idea of what the bible describes the biblical god)
if this is the case, how come the atheist ask in the first place??? If you know more about the "biblical god" you are describing, why did you even ask in the first place????? from this point on, the christian is suggested to ignore that statement.

Atheist, "oh, thanks for answering. I now have an understanding on how the bible see their god."

When an atheist asks a question like that they are asking for evidence.

If a theist asserts "because god", you can not be surprised that they are unimpressed.
 
well as far as I can tell I have not done that.

I agree many atheists/agnostics should show more respect, especially so when we are after all on their home ground but you must realize that many of the christian beliefs and the whys/hows are very alien/odd for us to comprehend.

Odd/unusual ideas are attacked/ridiculed every day (not only religious ones, just in general).

I want to repeat however, just in case I am misunderstood, that more respect must be shown by atheists/agnostics in regards to religious beliefs - the flip side to that is why are we attacked when we ask what appears to us as genuine questions?

I do agree with the idea of putting an atheist section on this website, so atheists can input their opinion on what they think on the afterlife, and everything else.

the answer to this is mainly because nonbeliever ask christians about their idea on how they view their biblical god and the christians give nonbeliever their answer, then the nonbeliever end up not agreeing with the christian answers and calling christian stupid for thinking that. If you want to argue with christian on how they view their biblical god, at least, use biblical verses to argue with them. Do not argue with them using non christian ideas because christians do not believe that.

I have few un-christian ideas? What are you talking about? I am confused.
