Serve God And Not Religion!

Hbr 7:1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham as he was returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

hmm .. He is a Priest of God ..

Hbr 7:3 Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, he remains a priest perpetually.

hmm .. NOT JESUS ..

No I don't. I understand these matters due to many years of study and walking with Jesus Christ.

no you don't understand .. it IS in plain ENGLISH ..
then you expect people to believe preconceived ideas not in scripture ..
as to your walk .. you are the one who attacked me personally ..

I agree with the statement--Serve God and not religion. Absolutely. In fact, I think the classical Pharisee comparison highlights a sort of service to religion and dismissing God altogether.

That said, I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater and claim Religion is evil. Religion is man's response to God, and when practiced in full service to Him, it is a very good thing. Let's not forget that Christ had no intention to abolish religion -- because of Him, we brought it to its fullest form for His Church.

A point to be made here is that Jesus never came to establish a religion. He came to bring men into an intimate relationship with the Father.

Christ established a Church, but religion had already been established prior to Christ's coming into the world, and he took the best of it for man's response to Him.

I disagree. He turned the world upside down, spiritually. Man seeks religion, but God is not found in it.
