We are to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. As it was expedient for Him to “go away”, we must also “go away” from the churches of men who are living in divisions, envying, strife and hatred of one another. If we also “depart”, He will send the Comforter to us…..for they whom we shall leave behind shall persecute us for leaving them.
John 16:7-22 KJV
(7) Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
(8) And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
(9) Of sin, because they believe not on me;
We go out from one body to receive another body of believers in the world who shall be revealed in due time. When we go out, we shall be “alone” but eventually we shall see another body of believers come forth into the world for the world to see.
(10) Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
(11) Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
We must go out of our churches so that we may hear the things He has to say to us.
(12) I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
When the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide us into all truth. The Scriptures shall be opened unto our understanding as we grow in His knowledge.
(13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
(14) He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
(15) All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
(16) A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
(17) Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
(18) They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
(19) Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
When we depart from the churches, we shall be distressed by their evil persecutions. They shall rejoice in their unrighteousness and we shall be sorrowful. But our sorrow shall turn into joy as we shall see the “birth” of a completely new body of believers come forth in the WORLD. We are to go out from among our churches and into the world to await this new birth of believers. We shall no longer be alone in our journey but shall have a new body of believers….the brotherhood of believers.
(20) Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
(21) A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
(22) And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
We are to go out to Him into “Galilee”…which means the “circle of nations”….that is, the outside world. He will not be found in the churches of men….the graves of religious-sounding men…but He will be found in “Galilee”….outside their churches where we shall be built into a spiritual house apart from them.
Mark 14:28 KJV
(28) But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
We are to go quickly from the graves of men who do not preach that He is truly risen. He is alive NOW not dead and we are also to be alive NOW. We don’t “die and go to heaven” to have His life….for His life is a NOW thing in the here and now. He was dead and is RISEN now. He is alive NOW. His body (we are His body) has been lying in the grave of the rich pastor who hasn’t fed the sheep but only himself.
Matthew 28:5-10 KJV
(5) And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
(6) He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
He goes before us into “Galilee”…the circle of the nations…and there we shall see Him as other brothers shall also depart from the graves of religious-sounding men and into the world where we shall be built into a continuing city.
(7) And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
(8) And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
(9) And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
(10) Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
