Ferguson is proof again that you cannot have a rational discussion with irrational people.
A thug tries to rough up a cop and gets shot dead. The cop could have handled it better, but he panicked and
shot the kid repeatedly, and hindsight is always 20-20.
I get rather tired of the natives completely rediculous response to this.

The forensics showed he was shot four times from a distance of about 10 feet before the two closer kill shots....that is purely overkill...for a box of cigars he may or may not have stole....

The Shooting of Amadou Diallo occurred on February 4, 1999, when Amadou Diallo, a 23-year-old immigrant from Guinea, was shot and killed by four New York City Police Department plain-clothed officers: Sean Carroll, Richard Murphy, Edward McMellon and Kenneth Boss, who fired a combined total of 41 shots, 19 of which struck Diallo, outside his apartment at 1157 Wheeler Avenue in the Soundview section of The Bronx. The four were part of the now-defunct Street Crimes Unit. All four officers were charged with second-degree murder and acquitted at trial in Albany, New York.
A few years ago I lost a wonderful friend and Christian brother named Urey who was asleep in his Framingham home when the local police broke down his doors and a sniper shot him in the head. They were looking for a friend of his son in law who sometimes visited the son in law....Urey (an African American man of 60 years...a good man who never hurt anybody....) was asleep and heard someone breaking in and jumped up and when he came out of his bedroom was murdered right there on the spot (in his own house)...it was OBVIOUS he was not this young man....he was OBVIOUSLY unarmed....the policeman was found not guilty (even of accidental manslaughter) and received 3 months suspension without pay....
So we all have a right to our own opinion but if you believe the press after the fact you are in trouble....after four shots this trained police officer could have easily got out of his way. Brown was unarmed and had not been shown to be guilty of stealing the cigars....the only demon here is the demon of racial prejudice and cowardice. So I will stick to my assessment and pray for this man's repentance. Regardless of what story was concocted for court he knows he was wrong and is and will be guilty for a long time...may the Lord forgive him. Those mentioned above were blatant murderers....no one (even if guilty how many times must you be killed to be dead? 19, 50...?

I think Ferguson is a tragedy. Tho, not as a cop, I worked in law enforcement for 25+ years and I hoped that people would move forward. There is no doubt in my mind that there is some truth to the "us and them" polarity some law enforcement personnel have in communities, particularly the black community but I also see other agendas amidst a media circus that seem to call for awful things to happen. It seems no one wins even when the facts come out because no one seems to care about facts when they already made up their mind. My prayers are for both the Brown family and Wilson and the community as a whole.

Why was he trying to manhandle a cop in the first place?
As I stated, he panicked. Very few know how they will handle frightening situations until they are in them.
i.e. nobody knows they are a coward until they are in a battle
There have been quite a few cases in the news lately of police being trigger happy and commiting what most would call
unjustified killings (murder). From the evidence I have heard, I do not think that applies here.

During his September 16 grand jury testimony, Wilson, 28, recounted how he tussled with

As they fought over the weapon, Wilson testified, the teenager taunted him, yelling,
“You’re too much of a #&&&# to shoot me.”

Sorry Bro Paul, I agree with Glomung in the Ferguson events. I can't speak to all the events you posted and have no difficulty, without looking, that the police can do wrong. I think you are failing to take into account that both sides are contributing to these situations. Some people, last night in Ferguson, looted out of greed - not anger. Some people planned the destruction of businesses and property to Ferguson for other agendas and did not even look at the testimony or work of the Grand Jury before they did their damage. They weren't interested in truth.
Even if I killed my worse enemy, as a Christian I'd still be remorseful.
This police station really had a "Keystone Cops" moment regarding an immediate statement of the facts to the public. It's not that hard to tell the public what happened, especially when the public is supposedly wrong. Why on earth would you NOT state the facts louder than the opposition? The police do this all the time, they hold press conferences to dispel any ludicrous theories or testimony. If they knew he robbed the store, then say it! If they knew he assaulted a police officer, then say it! This information changes public opinion. So why did they allow this so-called misinformation to fester for so long???

It was under investigation. You never give up information when an active investigation is going. If you want to blame someone, blame the media.
From the start, it was a no win situation. I remember early on (the next day) that information was released that Brown had stolen in an aggressive manner at convenience store and this was literally bellowed down by those who wanted Brown to appear innocent of everything. Today, on CNN, I heard a preacher saying that Brown's death was comparable to that of Christ. Any people who supported Wilson received death threats. Geee, I wonder why it took so long for this info to surface. The chant in Ferguson was "burn it down for Michael Brown". There was/is no way for anyone to win this twisted plot.
On Facebook, I rarely post anything in relation to politics and current events, but I felt it was a good opportunity to express my concern for abortion, since so many of my pro-abortion friends were calling for further action after the verdict of Wilson. Many of them insisted it was a race crime, some said the looters are justified.
I briefly mentioned that while I lean toward the idea that Wilson should have been charged with something (perhaps manslaughter), that I was only going by the details I was given. I wasn't there, I wasn't a juror, and even despite my concern with public law enforcement (I do lean toward Anarcho-Capitalism when it comes to law), my opinion is still very fallible and I could easily be leaning toward the wrong direction.
But with all that aside, direct murder happens everyday, and for those who believe racism was a factor in this, I mentioned that abortion is the number one killer in of Black Americans, surpassing HIV, street violence, and any other disease by a staggering number.
I followed it up that prayer must be done and that mercy must be shown.
I didn't intend for this to happen, but I'm now seeing my number of friends decrease -- though I figured that could easily happen.
I didn't mean to post this to brag or anything of that nature, but with all this discussion flying around, as fellow pro-lifers, continue to pray for peace, those who are grieving, and those who committed murder. And don't stop speaking up against infanticide -- with the rhetoric dumbing it down to mere "religion vs. women," we really have our work cut out for us.
